How does the movie Buffalo Soldiers (1997) represent Affirmation?

The movie Buffalo Soldiers (1997) wasn't the best as far as representation of these heroic soldiers, however; it got the story out and gave another generation food for thought.

Keep telling that history:

Read the novel, Rescue at Pine Ridge, "RaPR", where Buffalo Bill Cody meets a Buffalo Soldier. A great story of black military history...the first generation of Buffalo Soldiers.

How do you keep a people down? ‘Never' let them 'know' their history.

The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after the Little Big Horn Massacre, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre. If it wasn't for the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, there would of been a second massacre of the 7th Cavalry.

Read the novel, “Rescue at Pine Ridge”, 5 stars Amazon, Barnes & Noble and the youtube trailer commercial...and visit the website

I hope you’ll enjoy the novel. I wrote it from my mini-series movie of the same title, “RaPR” to keep my story alive. Hollywood has had a lot of strikes and doesn't like telling our stories...its been “his-story” of history all along…until now. The movie so far has attached, Bill Duke directing, Hill Harper, Glynn Turman and a host of other major actors in which we are in talks with…see imdb.com at;

When you get a chance, also please visit our Alpha Wolf Production website at; and see our other productions, like Stagecoach Mary, the first Black Woman to deliver mail for Wells Fargo in Montana, in the 1890's, “spread the word”.

Peace.

How did the Buffalo soldiers affected people?

How did the Buffalo soldiers affected people?

The name Buffalo Soldier was a nickname the Native Americans gave to the Black calvary of the 9th and 10th Calvary Regiments because of their combat prowess bravery, tenaciousness, and their appearance on the battlefield....

The duties of the buffalo soldier consisted of being former slaves, their afro and dark color. They were called buffalo soldiers because they did jobs others didn't want to do.

The Buffalo soldiers, sometimed called Buffalo troopers, etc was a slang term for Black soldiers in the US Army ( In segregated units) in the period from about the end of the Civil War up to World War I. They saw considerable action on the Frontier. The Ninth and tenth cavalry units were Black regiments. Rank and file and N.C.O. personnel were all Black, but Commissioned officers were white. General Pershing in his company and field grade days commanded a unit in the Tenth , reinforcing the martial- already sounding nickname of Black Jack- of course a hard- hitting object!

why did the buffalo soldiers spend time in school when they were enlisted?

why did the buffalo soldiers spend time in school when they were enlisted?

The Black man/women were un-educated because they were kept from reading and writing so they would be subservient and not escape slavery.

All the post of the Buffalo Soldiers had some type of library/school to help bring the troops up to speed, since most of them came directly out of slavery, and out of non-self imposed ignorance.

How do you keep a people down? You 'never' let them 'know' their history.
