I don't think your style is too casual for every day wear. You're just dressing to make yourself comfortable, and if you're not comfortable in high heels and a prom dress every day, lol, then don't wear that! Who cares what other people think about the way you dress? Dress for yourself and make yourself feel beautiful.
However, if you go to a party, formal event, or even work, I would hope that you would dress it up just a little bit! =)
(P.S.) Cute bracelet!
casual beach bar in Nassau/P.I.?
unfortunately Nassau/PI doesn't have any public beach bars. The Green Parrot (both locations) are located on the harbour and freqented by locals and tourist alike.
The one on Paradise Island (hurricane hole marina) has more locals.. the one in Nassau (next to luciano's) is larger and is busier.
I think that you are referring to the Straw market in your post. You'll only spend about an hour or so shopping there. but there's plenty to see in the area, including a Pirates museum, Slave museum, lots of shops, cafes etc.
You might want to take a snorkliing tour on the Flying cloud (www.flyiingcloud.info) or seahorsesailingadventure.com.
Wednesday is not a great "hangout" night for the locals, I think the afterwork crowd at Green Parrot will fit the bill.
