Well you don't look so cranky, your lookin pretty good from where I am. I do have a cranky co-worker, unfortunately she is that way EVERY day. I wonder if she realizes that this is her holiday? Co Worker trying to sabotage my job?

First, even though you may feel like doing otherwise, continue to be civil to your co-worker! Don't give her more things to complain about.

Second, try talking to your boss and ask how you should handle the situation. Ask what the boss wants you to do if the co-worker is ever late again and you need to leave.

The boss really needs to tell the co-worker thanks for the recommendation and that she will keep the friend in mind if there ever is a job opening. But that really isn't for you to tell the boss.

You might also want to document every time the co-worker is late or says something about you leaving work or if she leaves work for you that she should have done.
