Crowded Nest Awareness Day 2020 is on Friday, June 12, 2020: How do you like school?
Friday, June 12, 2020 is Crowded Nest Awareness Day 2020. Crowded Nest Awareness Day - Crowded Nest Awareness Day Titles ... Crowded Nest Awareness Day
You asked a loaded question that quite frankly involves quite a lot to properly answer. There are several issues going on. To address them all I'd have to write a book. But know this up front, I commend you on your awareness of these problems! That in it self is going to help you understand some of what I'm saying and get you past this funk you are in!
To start off with, "Knowledge" is power! The more you know, the more tools you have, the more tools you have the more you can do, the more you can do the more you can paid, the more you can paid the more you have in life! Get your education!!!! And go to college!!!!! Power is obtained by leaders and leaders have knowledge! Be a "Leader"!
As a child you didn't want to leave home. Home for you was a comfort zone. It could be your father wasn't in your life, or you didn't have a strong relationship with your father and it was your mother who was your protector. Or maybe you were an introvert and didn't want to be around other kids, I just don't know. BUT what I "do" know is that for your sake you need to break that pattern. Eventually the young bird needs to leave the nest. And when that time comes, it's a good thing to be able to fly on your own! If the bird can't fly on his own he becomes prey for other animals. The same goes for for a young person going out into this world on their own unprepared!
You got into a bad crowd of friends. Pay attention to how many of those same guys you hung out with end up in prison! Or dead from an over dose or from an accident while drunk/high on drugs. Or if they are lucky end up with a minimum wage job, living in a trailer park with a huge wife and several kids with bad dispositions surrounded by roaches. These are just a few patterns people fall into in a situation like you describe. And ask yourself "Do I want to be one of them?" If you don't want to be one of them, then walk a different path! You have that choice! There is a big world outside your door. And you don't have enough time in your average human life span to experience all that you can imagine! So pick a path and walk it! Let no one steer you away from what you want in life! Just know that what ever path you choose, you will need an education to be successful unless you are VERY lucky! But don't count on luck! Get an education and rely on yourself!
Here's a simple thing you can do to break the "Comfort Zone" pattern and feel good about yourself. Go out in your community and find some one who needs help in some way, and help them. Or go to a state park office and volunteer for cleaning up river/lake banks. You will meet and interact with people that tend to be good hearted people. Relationships start from situations like this. When you pass a stranger walking down the sidewalk, say "Hello, how are you today?" You see a stranded motorist on the side of the road, stop and help them. Put yourself in in other peoples shoes and ask yourself "What would I want some one to do for me?" and do for them just that. Little by little you will see yourself getting out in the world more and more, and wanting to do it! Before you know it you will be a respected, and admired pillar of society! Don't just do things like this once, make it a habit and part of your weekly life.
I was once a much more extreme version of you. I've never been to high school, and did the drug and alcohol scene for years to facing the electric chair when I was age 20. I'm 46 today and respected and admired by those who know me or met me. I've done all the things that I recommend you doing and still do. I was once part of the patterns I spoke of. I've been there done that many times over! And young man, you are not "pathetic"! There's a lot of hope for you! Just pick a path and walk it! And let the haters in this world be nothing more than minor speed bumps to you! If I can do what I have said, there's certainly no reason you can't!
