For the most part, yes.

Except in certain pockets where people still hold on firmly to gender roles dictated by traditional beliefs like their life depended on them, most kids today grow up in equal atmospheres.

This is also just one of the reasons why girls these days are turned off by the idea of misandry and Feminism. Growing up in households treated as equals [or betters], make them wonder what the h Feminists are talking about when they bring up falsified statistics [like the "1 in 4" or more recently, "1 in 2"].

That girls in general -tend- to go for majors that don't demand critical thinking, like Women's Studies, cannot be blamed on their parents.

It's rare that son's love their parents? What? I think you've got a screw or two loose...

I am 23 years old and I talk to my mom every day. I see her 3 or more times per week and the thought of moving far away from her terrifies me. What is wrong with that? I love my mama and I dread the day that I have to move away from her.

When you're a parent, every day is Son's and Daughter's Day. Life revolves around the kids That's why Mother's Day and Father's Day was created... so that at least one day out of every year, their sacrifices for their children would be recognized.
