If you have a question about store policies and operations you have experienced. Who can help you?
All Goodwill stores and donation centers are owned and operated by the local Goodwill Industries serving your community. Senior management at these Goodwills would like to know of your questions and concerns. Please use the Goodwill locator to find the appropriate main office to call or write.
Goodwill Industries International has no control over local store and donation operations, and can only refer any messages sent to us to the local Goodwill for prompt attention.
I'm looking for a place to take old clothes/rags in the Chicago area?
Great Question! Got me wondering too, so I looked around a bit and found this out.....
Goodwill Industries will accept old clothes and rags. They have what is called a "Salvage Program". The Salvage Program takes clothes that have been in their stores for over five weeks and bales them with clothes unfit for sale along with rags and then they are sold to brokers. Most bales consist of 70% clothes and 30% rags, these bundles are generally sent to developing world countries.
