The first 6 seasons were called "I Love Lucy" and were 30-minutes in length. For the last 13 episodes, sometimes referred to as seasons 7-9, they switched to a 1-hour format and the show was called "The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour." It is these last 13 episodes that Hallmark showed yesterday as a day-long marathon, changing the name to "We Love Lucy" and cutting each one in half, then showing the 2 halves back-to-back. I honestly have no idea why they did this, the only thing I can think is that it somehow benefits them in squeezing in more commercials or changing more for them somehow. No matter the reason, there was never a show called "We Love Lucy", it's just a made-up title change for these Lucy-Desi Comedy Hours.
