Lupercalia 2020 is on Saturday, February 15, 2020: feast of lupercalia?
Saturday, February 15, 2020 is Lupercalia 2020. Lupercalia was a very ancient, possibly pre-Roman pastoral festival, observed on February 13 through 15 to avert evil spirits and purify the city, releasing health and fertility.

Lupercalia is the fifth studio album by English-Irish singer-songwriter Patrick Wolf, released on 20 June 2011 by Hideout, a subsidiary of Mercury Records.
Lupercali is an old Roman holiday, celebrated on February 15th and predates St. V's. I think it has something to do with sex/fertility and the wolf who raised Romulus and Remus.
Ah, here we go:
Hope those help!
Would Lupercalia be categorized under Roman superstitions?
Depends. To get all personal and unprofessional, I get all grumpy and snappy when someone suggests any spiritual reality is a myth. Very often, I also get all snappy and grumpy when someone suggests reality is a good thing. People do use words loosely. Lupercalia was a Roman Festival (for this time of year so happy Lupercalia, Roman) and as such part of the Roman state religion. It was as official as President's Day. Christians tend to dismiss all pagan survivals as untrue so you can probably get away with it, and you aren't likely to run into very many of us who'd be offended on the street.
Hey, maybe you can even get away with explaining why it's not a superstition.
Lupercalia or Valentines which do you prefer?
Lupercalia for sure! Sacrificing innocent animals, whacking females with goat hides, a lottery to see if you can win a sexual partner for a year, the Pagan Romans had a better style than the Christians.
