No you cannot get Melanoma from picking your mole. You can get it from just one sunburn though. I want you to go Monday to a doctor and get the thing removed and biopsied. Don't let them shave it off. have the whole thing removed. If it is Melanoma and it is shaved, staging the tumor will be difficult. What you are describing sounds like it could very well be Melanoma.
