stroke victims: any of you able to study?
Dear ma'am sorry to read about your condition, since no body replied to your query , I as a doctor will take to suggest that:
When a person suffers a stroke, blood flow to the brain is halted or reduced and this can cause damage to the parts of the brain responsible for memory, learning and awareness. Some of the effects of the damage can include problems with short-term memory, difficulty making judgments, learning new tasks and following instructions. Researchers have found that regularly participating in cardiovascular exercise, performing the movements of tai chi and listening to music all can be effective in helping stroke patients recover from memory impairments.
Aerobic Exercise
A six-month study of 71 patients published in "Stroke: Journal of the American Heart Association" in 2008, found that stroke victims were able to rewire their brains through an exercise program that involved working out on a treadmill three times a week for up to 40 minutes each session. Exercise increases blood flow to the brain and may help neurons grow in the memory areas of the brain, according to the results of a 2007 National Academy of Sciences study on the impact of exercise and memory.
Hope it helps, you can start with breating exercices under guidance if possible.
