What religion are you and why?

Pentecostal & I attend a AG Pentecostal Church, even better then my denomination is my relationship with my Lord Jesus. I love him sooo much.

Yes I am happy with it and no I do not think of converting.

My beliefs are the same as my church, they are the following....

WE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.

WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).

WE BELIEVE...In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.

WE BELIEVE...though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.

WE BELIEVE...Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]

WE BELIEVE...and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.

WE BELIEVE...the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]

WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.

WE BELIEVE...Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.

WE BELIEVE...The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE...A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church.

WE BELIEVE...Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]

WE BELIEVE...in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]

WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.

WE BELIEVE...and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'

We worship singing contemporary music and hymns, have prayer, time for testimonies, we allow time for the Holy Spirit to move, and the pastor preaches and teaches solid biblical truths.

sorry cannot guess your religion just from this question. Have a great day and I hope you enjoy the Christmas season.

Colleges With Equestrian Teams?

Colleges With Equestrian Teams?

I currently go to North Dakota State University. They have a pre-vet and vet tech program. It is best known as an ag related school so animal and range sciences is big along with anything similarly related. Also, you can major or minor in equine science. NDSU has a 400 horse stall barn with turnouts. Barn is heated with a nice size arena (indoor and outdoor) and wash racks with both hot and cold water available. Anyone can board up to two horses at the barn; cost is $200/month/horse for indoor board and $50/month/horse for outdoor only board. Outdoor boarding is only an option for spring and fall, though, because the winters are so cold up here. Indoor boarders have the option of turning their horses outside or leaving them in all day. Everyone has use of the barn facilities including the arena. We have a rodeo team, horse judging team, and IHSA team. For IHSA (intercollegiate horse show association) you may use your horse for practices but not for the shows except for our own home show. Reason is that in IHSA the goal is to judge the rider on how well they can handle a horse that they have never seen/ridden before and you only have about 2 minutes before each show to get to know the horse you've drawn that day. If you have a very well broke horse, you can also have him used as a lesson horse at the barn. We have people loan their horses to us to use for our riding classes. The hands on horse classes that you can take include beginning horsemanship, intermediate, and advanced horsemanship, and a class called colts in training which gives you a young, unbroke, horse and teaches you how to break the horse from the ground up and how to ride that horse. It's a lot of fun and at the end of the semester, the class gets to take the horses that they broke and go on a trail ride about 40min. drive away in a national grasslands area. For more info you can look on the main website at or you can look directly on the equine science department page at

Good luck and hope you find what you're looking for!

How/what do you have to do to join ffa?How/what do you have to do to join ffa?

How/what do you have to do to join ffa?How/what do you have to do to join ffa?

You dont have to do anything but will be encouraged to do stuff. The only requirements to join are at least 1 semester in an ag class and a 25$ membership fee. For the Creed Speaking LDE yes you do have to memorize it, and present it in a fun semi casual way in front of 3 judges, otherwise no.

In FFA there are all kinds of things! LDE's build you're leadership skills by having FFA related tasks you'll probably present in front of 3 judges like creed speaking. There's also skills demonstration where you do something in 20 mins and get judged. My chapter last year did "how to clean a dove" (breast meat extraction) if you're not into public stuff and have a good memory for boring stuff you can do quiz. About 1/2 is all about parlimentary procedure then the other half for the greenhand quiz will be random junk you find the the FFA manule. I loved it and I hated it so naturaly my second year starts next week and I'm joining again. Then there are CDE's meant to prepare you for careers. I joined the poultry judging team. We looked at chickens at all stages of their lives (live broilers, egg type, interior & exterior quality, carcasses, further process, you name it we did it except for chicks and opened eggs). Something I've had ambitions for is Ag Mechanics. You build some ag/outdoorsy related. At my school livestock show, the grand champion was a hand carved bed frame with real cattle pelt sections in a cherry wood border. Very nice stuff but you could also make a feed bunk, hay rack, tack rack, loading chute, grill, and many many more. You'll probably be expected by your chapter to help with fundraising and community service so be ready :)

Now a HUGE misconception I'll clear. You DO NOT HAVE to get an animal project to be in FFA!! But they are the best :) Last year as a greenhand I started out as most whould with the easiest animal. Pigs. I had a crossbred barrow and being a newbie, didnt do too well. I spent about a month mourning him after sale (405 :/ $200+ in the red) before I had to go to Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since I signed up for the Calf Scramble. I'm currently raising a market steer and a market lamb for a different show who will be sold in late Oct. I was timid and shy before starting FFA but trust me if you go headfirst and be active AND proactive, it'll teach you alot.

Just a little more on animals: There are market (meat) animals and breeders. All market animals can be breeders (if they are female) but not all breeders can be market animals. You can raise broilers (meat chickens), turkies, pigs, lambs, goats, cattle (steer, heifer, cow calf pairs, and bulls), and rabbits. All except for the poultry are both market and breeding animals.

There is SO much to be said about FFA and I highly reccomend it (over 4-H any day. National blue and corn gold FTW!) The uniforms are beautiful, the people are kind and educated, the experiance if unforgetable.

Holidays also on this date Wednesday, September 25, 2024...
