7 Day vegetable diet?

A vegan diet is a really good way to feel free of all that junk inside you. Eating a lot of cooked vegetables can also make you bloated ( they can give off gas inside if you cook the sulphur part, such as the dark green nibs on broccoli), so watch out for that.

Raw is best but I doubt you'll go for that.

Potatoes and yams, yucca, chips, corn, peas and other plant foods- these are starchy too, so you should watch what you think you're eating and watch the umbrella of vegetables, because fries and chips= these are plant foods too.

I eat raw, and I don't eat fruit much these days. I do in summer, I eat a lot of fruit, just not the last few months. Fruit is great, and some of it- oranges in particular, really do clean you out, They have a lot of fibre. I go days on an orange or papaya regime, just for fun. It makes you feel amazing.

You sleep because your body is heavy from all the cooked food inside which takes SO MUCH ENERGY to digest. It can take days. Again, raw food, pretty much does the work for you.

Eating plant foods is a great idea, even if you do cook them. Cook as few as possible and find out whihc ones are good to eat raw- for instance- gazpacho soup is a raw soup very tasty and traditional Italian. Nothing weird about it.

Hummous is energy due to the chickpeas- I'd get some of that, and some lightly cooked lentils, and chickpeas you can cook yourself. Soak them 2 days, and refresh the water each day. Soak as long as you can, in fact, days on end. This takes the gases out ( the foam in the water is the gas) and plumps up the beans so they cook quicker. For chickpeas, add soem bicarb of soda in the boiling water0 it makes them les tough. After the days of soaking, rub the beans to slip the skins off- this is fibre you don't really need. All it does is bloat your lower intestine up a lot.Freshly cooked beans, chickpeas and lentils are so tasty, filling and healthy. If you cook a load of these, all you need is to add fresh raw stuff, to make the meal fantastic.

Buy avocado, coconut, brazil nuts, walnuts, pumpkin, * halve and scrape out the seeds, then toast in oil and lemon- these are extremely healthy to eat*, garlic, onion, corn, green peas.

Make guacomole- again, another raw vegetable and fruit meal you can have with the lentils and you could also make some raw corn chips yourself, or just toast slices of eggplant smothered in oil, toast gently til they're crisp in the oven.

Make a spicey vegetable soup-= cauliflower, bean sprouts, cabbage, carrots, tofu, onion, GINGER, black pepper, oil, vegetable broth, a few fava beans. I had this soup once, the ginger makes it. And don't skip the black pepper either- it's spicey and hot but it will clean out the inside of you like nothing else and it is so delicious. I had this soup in Sikkim in the Himalayas after traveling four night in the freezing cold. I was so tired and groggy and pissed off with lack of sleep, health and energy.

This boy came out of the dark back of the tea stall in the middle of this tiny hamlet in the mountains, full of night time snow, and dumped a huge bowl of this ginger and pepper vegetable soup in front of me. It was perfect. I've had it since, made it for myself and it never fails. Make it with fresh ginger and fresh cracked black pepper in the broth. He used tomatoes and celery too in the broth as well as the few bits of cauliflower. It was fantastic. I could live off it.

hcg diet - loading days?

You can eat 500 calories a day if you want to but you'll be burning valuable proteins along with your fat and that's generally considered to be a very bad idea that runs counter to good health practices. As for the hcg, it does nothing.

The hcg diet is a scam because HCG does nothing for fat loss. It was a scam from the get go and doesn't work any more than the other junk on the market like acai or green tea. Even if you manage to lose some weight from the diet alone you will only gain rebound fat because you've done nothing to change your eating habits. That will lead to yo-yo'ing until you finally learn that diets don't work and the only way to lose fat and keep it gone is to make a lifetime commitment to proper eating habits. After all, staying slim only gets more difficult with age. So, you may as well make that commitment now and establish proper eating habits instead of trying an easy way that doesn't work.

Check the following excerpts from the US National Institute of Health...the place where the doctors get their information regarding health research. And, if you can't bring yourself to believe the science, visit your physician and find out for yourself. You'll be wise to ignore the random strangers of unknown credibility with no references or citations who are simply credulous believers incapable of recognizing their own placebo effect.

Here's what the experts have to say.

"In recent publications describing mostly well-documented double-blind studies authors largely reject hCG administration in dieting. Supporters of the hCG diet must prove the efficacy of this method in controlled studies according to the German Drug Law. Until then the opinion of the German steroid toxicology panel is still valid, that hCG is ineffective in dieting and should not be used."

Ref:

"Treatment of obesity with human chorionic gonadotrophin was shown to be of no better value than saline in a double-blind crossover study of weight reduction in obese subjects. There was also no significant difference in mood, hunger, or missed injections, and no apparent difference in adherence to diet when the two agents were compared. In contrast, a significant difference was found in the ability of subjects to lose weight in the first four weeks of the study in contrast with the second four weeks, no matter which agent was used. Thus, the initiation of a new therapeutic program, even using an inert agent, has a temporary benefit--a manifestation both of placebo effect and the Hawthorne effect."

"We conclude that there is no rationale for the use of HCG injections in the treatment of obesity."

How It Works

By some unspecified magical force, the combination of the suggested foods included in this plan is supposed to create a unique metabolic reaction and boost fat burning.

Without an author or book, there is no documentation or explanation of how the 3 Day Diet food combinations burn fat, increase energy, cleanse the body, or lower cholesterol.

As the name suggests, the 3 Day Diet lasts only three days, though it's said that it can be repeated indefinitely, as long as you alternate with 4-5 days of undefined "normal eating." The purpose of returning to your usual eating style is to keep your metabolism from slowing, reverting to fat-storing, starvation mode.
