Nothing Day

Nothing Day continues to be commemorated since 1973. Your day generally is about not doing anything whatsoever, placing it inside a similar vein with other such surreal non-occasions being an Not-Birthday or Buy Nothing Day. There's simply no purpose or intended structure with this pointless celebration.Your day was initially suggested through the late American newspaper writer Harold Coffin. Nothing Day began using the intent of eventual self-destruction, through satirically reigning with what Coffin considered a glut of lately established, useless commemorative days. Coffin’s Nothing Organisation was concurrently created to be able to raise awareness. Fittingly, the organisation has not held just one meeting. The ongoing official festivities stand proof of Coffin’s ultimate failure. As it's all about spending without trying on honoring practically nothing, Nothing Day may also be about honoring existence itself. The only real limits how your day is spent would be the imagination and bank balance from the participant.Your day also boosts some quite interesting questions about a philosophical level. Can something useful truly spring from nothing? Based on your point of view, Coffin could either happen to be a latter-day David Hume or perhaps a quotable newspaper writer slightly too clever for their own good.

How would you celebrate National Nothing Day?

Every day in Britain seems to be taken

already,,with days like,

" Stop whining and suck it up" Day,

" Don't ask any awkward questions" Day,

"So what,? I don't care" Day,

"Let's bury the bad news" Day,

"The Police need 50,000 volts of electricity, for people to take them seriously" Day,

"Smile, you're on CCTV" Day,

"Look out, Sarge, he's got a Breadstick!" Day,

"Lets go down town and Bingedrink" Day,

"But we thought he was a Terrorist " Day

and all these days seem to be interchangeable and totally random, so I don't think we've really understood the rules of this "National Day" at all.

Is it bad to workout then do nothing all day?

Is it bad to workout then do nothing all day?

If you're sticking your workouts, I wouldn't worry. The body needs time to recover. You really only need to work each specific body area hard about every 10 days. Sounds like your exercise and diet are under control. Good for you!

I'm in a program where I workout every other day. Each workout is on different muscle groups. Basically broken down into 5 workouts

Day 1 Chest and Triceps

Day 2 Rest and Recover

Day 3 Back and Biceps

Day 4 Rest and Recover

Day 5 Shoulders and Abs

Day 6 Rest and Recover

Day 7 Quads

Day 8 Rest and Recover

Day 9 Hamstrings and Calves

Day 10 Rest and Recover

Then repeat from day 1

All designed around 7 minute workouts. Find your maximum weight training weight and work the muscles hard until fatigued. Only need to do this for one set. In the beginning it may take you a little longer than 7 minutes (maybe 20-30) to find your ideal weight. You can always do cadio after your weight training.

Just stick to your workouts and let your body recover!

What do you think of Buy Nothing Day?

Buy Nothing Day is the day after thanksgiving, and it's a protest against American consumerism.

I'm all for it, but that decision is made in part because I don't have any money to spend on things anyway.
