Serpent Day 2025 is on Saturday, February 1, 2025: What do we think the "day of the LORD!" is going to end for us?

Saturday, February 1, 2025 is Serpent Day 2025. National Serpent Day – February 1, 2011 Today is National Serpent Day,

[Shall] not the day of the LORD [be] darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Yes, Beloved, it is just like God said in the beginning concerning the Day of the Lord.

And God called the light, Day. And He called the darkness, Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

(Genesis 1:5)

Interestingly, God's day began on set, "at the onset".... Man typically thinks of a day as Morning, Noon, and Night.... But a Day to God is "the evening and the morning"!

But isn't it amazing, and even astonishing, dear friend, that "God called the light, Day. And He called the darkness, Night."....yet in Amos we see that the Day (That which should be full of LIGHT) is said to "be darkness, and not light"? "even very dark, and no brightness in it?"

Though this passage could be considered paradoxical, I believe that the truth of the Day of the Lord is also revealed in these words of the Son of God, (who was the very "Dayspring from on High" who visited His people, though very few recognized the Day of His Visitation.)

"And Jesus said, I have come into this world for judgment, that they who do not see might see, and that they who see might be made blind. And those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, Are we also blind? Jesus said to them, If you were blind, you would have no sin. But now you say, We see. Therefore your sin remains."

(John 9:39-41)

This fits amazingly with the description in Amos...for those who were so sure that they were seeing clearly in "the light", when actually exposed to "The True Light" were made blind, for the Light of Truth only revealed their true condition!

This example is astonishingly clear in the conversion of Saul of Tarsus on the Road to Damascus.

A light met Him on the Road, and shone about him above the brightness of the Sun at noonday! One would think with ALL this LIGHT one could see everything so much better right? Well, this True Light exposed his true condition...which was that he was blind spiritually....So the Day that He met the Lord, and said "Lord who are You!?" was the day he became blind, until he received his sight, and stopped persecuting the Lord and "kicking against the pricks".

Even so for us.... we must not just assume that we see and understand everything perfectly, but humble ourselves as a little child and ask the Holy Spirit to show us what is Light in His True Light.

I also believe that this passage in Jeremiah is very good counsel concerning understanding these passages.

Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD has spoken. Give glory to the LORD your God, BEFORE HE CAUSE DARKNESS, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness. But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD'S flock is carried away captive.

(Jeremiah 13:15-17)

Yes, "God is Light and in Him there is no darkness at all"....even so, He can obviously "cause darkness" and while we look for LIGHT, He can "turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness"! But the big reason is WHY?

Because they did not repent to Give God the GLORY of.....Everything!... that belongs to the Supreme God!

We see this same thing revealed in the Revelation:

"And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: and they repented not TO GIVE HIM GLORY."

(Revelation 16:9)

This, dearly beloved, seems to be the same reason why God causes "gross darkness" in Jeremiah 13.

Lastly, though there will be "gross darkness" (evening) during the afore mentioned "Day of the Lord", there is also very good news!

Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is RISEN upon you. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall ARISE upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.

(Isaiah 60:1-5)

Remember, the evening (Sun set) and the Morning (Sun RISE) are what God calls a Day!

So right when darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people....the Lord will ARISE as a Sun of Righteousness unto those who are looking for Him, and fearing His Holy Name! : )

Hinduism - which day is called ''pradhakshina Amavasai'' day?

The most auspicious somavaara amavasya vratha dhina fell on the

22nd of june 2009. when amavasya falls on a Monday its called somavaara amavasya. If the amavasya tithi is there during sunrise till the fourth part of the night its very very auspicious day . this day is very dear to shiva and durga. This day is also known as YOGA SHIVARATRI.

The scriptures says that when amavasya falls on Monday , one should

do lots of japa, shiva archana ashwatta pradakshina , pitri tarpana,

give dhanas and indulge sat karya.

Soma vaara amavasya is equivalent to 1000 surya grahana . so

sadhaka sreshtas should never miss this day and should do lots of mantra japa.

Doing pradakshina around the ashwatta tree in the morning (on

soma vaara amavasya day) ,blesses one with putra labha., removes sins And Gives the benefit of doing pradakshina. To the trimurthis.

Performing japa under ashwatta tree on this day gives benefits

in many folds.

Taking bath in rivers, temple tanks, or lake removes one's sin.

Sadhaka should stand in the middle of the river or lake till chest

level and perform japa. The benefit by doing such cannot even be

described by the thousand headed adhi sesha. Those who know sree rudra mantras by heart can recite them in this way.

Shiva baktas should never fail to worship parameshwara on this night.

Performing pujas on soma vaara amavasya night to shiva lingga gives the benefit shivaratri anushtana.
