I will admit it's changed a lot. I think it's a bit silly that Cookie Monster doesn't eat cookies anymore either. Cookies aren't a bad thing (well unless you eat a dozen a day!).

As far as the Spanish word of the day, I really don't have much of a problem with it, but I can see why it may be upsetting. Here you are trying to teach your 14 month old the proper words for objects and things and you feel that the Spanish word will be a confusing thing for him. Why not the French word of the day? Why not the German word of the day? Or why not just the English word of the day?

I still love it's educational value and my two year old loves Elmo. I would say just let those things slide. It's still overall a great show for children. But I certainly see where you are coming from.
