Though second hand shops have been generally replaced with discount outlet store in modern times, the intent behind Thrift Shop Day still uses-- conserve cash and be affordable by purchasing second-hand, fixed or merely more affordable gadgets. Apparel, furniture and family products are terrific examples of gadgets which you might be able to discover and buy cheaply from thrift shops or warehouse store.
Thrift Shop Days. Find something your mom & dad wears or siblings, cousins, etc., or go shopping @ Goodwill. You'll find tons there for cheap!
In other words, something cheap and USED. Not yours.
Tips for good bargain shopping?
Thrift stores. Ask a worker when they put out their new items, and go that day early in the morning. That way you can snatch up all the great stuff. Also, be VERY patient, and look carefully through the racks. You never know, on that rack of ugly, matronly dresses you may find something beautiful.
Go to places like Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls or any other outlet. They buy out designer pieces and sell them for half the price. You can find really great stuff there if you're patient.
Thrift Shop Opinion.?
I have no idea what that store is, but I do shop often at the Salvation Army and Goodwill. I've found some great pieces before, including a brand new pair of Silver Jeans that would retail at $90 but because it was yellow tag day at Salvation Army, I got them for a quarter.
My brother once found a first edition Hawthorne book at a thrift store too and I don't even want to say how much he sold it for on Ebay......considering he paid $2 for it and what he got back would pay for a years' college education for one of his children.
I think thrift stores are great, why pay full price if you can get the same thing for much much less and even more-so, get something more unique that you won't see 100 other people wearing? Only snobs say it's best to pay full price for something, I'd rather save my money for something else............say, more bargains at thrift shops!
