Vinyl Record Day 2017 is on Saturday, August 12, 2017: Vinyl Records?
Saturday, August 12, 2017 is Vinyl Record Day 2017. Record Store Day Vinyl - Low prices on new & used music Free Shipping on Qualified Orders.
Vinyl Record Day is organised by (you suspected it) the Vinyl Record Day Company – a not-for-profit organisation devoted to identifying the protecting vinyl music, its culture, art and seem. Although you can pull out some old vinyl records, you might be surprised to locate many modern artists creating music in vinyl format to supply a more potent, more immersive experience.
Vinyl tap's not bad but can be a bit pricey, Record and tape exchange is okay, but it's hard to finda decent online vinyl shop where the postage doesn't make the price stupid, I'd suggest a good old fashioned trawl of a real record shop, it'll waste a day and you'll probably find more than you were after ;)
ps rega link above, they make turntables don't they? didn't know they sold vinyl ;)
How To Clean Vinyl Records With Common Household Stuff?
Vinyl records are very fragile, and sensitive to chemicals.
Distilled water and a soft, velour pad are probably the only things you could find these days that are safe to use. No alcohol, ever: it will dry out the vinyl.
Put the record on your turntable, and hold the moistened velour pad gently against the record. Hold the pad still and let the turntable move the record.
Skipping is usually the result of a scratch or other damage. No amount of cleaning will cure it.
Are VINYL RECORDS (LP's) worth anything these days?
Vinyl has made a comeback, especially with the hip hop/rap crowd.
You should get a turntable, they are pretty cheap & you can hook them up to the pooter & put them all on disc( Mmmmmmm C,D's with LP crackle on them, ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh)
Depending on what the LP is, is the decider on whether it's worth anything.
