I support the Holocaust?

I just wrote a long answer, then deleted it before posting. UHG!!!

So to get right to the points:

In school if I wrote a book report on a book I didn't like, I inevibtably got a poor grade. If on a book I liked, a great grade.

Great, and different don't mean opposite. They mean creative, something not spotted before. With being for the Holocaust, there is such a nausea hurtle to get over for the readers, that it will be hard to sell. So I don't think writing in support will work that well for you. As for Positive aspects... they have been explored by scholars, such as the efficency of the Nazis, inventions, economic recovery from before the war.

I did think of some different approaches:

You could explore how being in a dictatorship, snitching being rewarded, the brainwashing, voicelessness, ego boosting... effected the Germans themselves.

Two books by Edwin Black got well known because they are on unusual topics. He explored the use of IBM punchcards to track everyone. Also The Transfer Agreement. From that you could explore what to do when between a rock and a hard place in conflicts.

The Claims Conference which is supposed to be distributing restitution money, was recently caught stealing. it's a big current controversy. For that you can check in Jewish Weeks for articles, such the Washington Jewish Week, the New York City JW, Los Angelos and most major cities. Also The Forward newspaper. I can give you a site with articles by leaders in the children of survivors community if you email me. A big part of the controversy is whether money should go to individual elderly survivors, or to community commemorative events that will lead to future awareness and protection against it happening again.

There is also that Hamas has quotes from the Nazi favorite hate book, the Protocol of the Elders in it's charter document.

Holocaust denial is a political ploy used by antiIsraelis to claim israel shouldn't exist (get the sympathy to not exist even though Israel was forming long before the Holocaust). To this end is Amendinajad's Holocaust denial. Also, not well know is that Palestinian PM Abbas's PhD is in Holocaust denial (and he wrote a book based on it - a lot of this is on the internet and can be found with googling (from credible sources.)

Along with this is the bizarre calling of Israel as Nazis --- calling a victim by their perpetrator's name -- is a classic method of perpetrators within in individual abuse such as sexual (describing the person as dirty, and unable to interact with the world, labeling with the traits the perpetrator has...) There as even a gross cartoon contest in response to the Danish anti-Muslim cartoons (that had nothing to do with israel) which called for these types of cartoon against Israel. Lots of articles were written on that in the Jewish community, and the cartoons are online (I've seen them.)

As a child of survivor myself, I tried in my first answer to come up with a supportive value, and got stuck and switched to the topics I listed above. For instance, I tried to look at how wiping out a portion of your population adds space to your country, but they wiped out scientists, inventors, community leaders, artists, gifted people, non-Jewish as well as Jewish. It brought them war & bombing and destruction. I don't see a supportive angle even with trying to play with that idea...

So if you can mention what aspects of the topic interest you, I'll come back and see if I think of anything related.

I commend you on trying to be creative about this. Hope something in here is helpful to that.

@Thomas

There was NO typhus epidemic in non-Nazi-trapped populations, Jewish or non-Jewish. Besides do you really think bugs target specific types of people? If they do, then you don't have to kill those people, problem solved anyway, right? That was a clever subtle way to claim holocaust as having any rational. You don't fool me (to other readers - there are holocaust deniers on the internet & stuff like this comes out of them.)
