In the UFO is a special visitor character named Gulliver who gives you a rare item, but first you have to shoot down the UFO he's in with a slingshot. You have to be quick and it's recommended you have the gold slingshot because the UFO moves fast.
When you see a shooting star, you have to quickly press A in order for your character to make a little wishing animation (he/she will turn to face you and look like they're praying), then the next day at 6am you'll receive mail with a special item from "Wishy the Star."
