What is the Baha’h faith?

What is the Baha'h faith?

The Baha'i Faith originated from Persia in 1844 and in an independent religion. it came from Islam much like Christianity came from Judaism. founded by Mírza Husayn 'Alí, better known as Baha'u'llah. The Baha'i faith believes in a universal peace and equality in all of humanity, that science and religion are both needed and that if science proves religion wrong then science in correct, there is one God who in unknowable ( much like God in Islam) , all major religions came from God and you dont have to have just a single religion to get to heaven you just have to do good things in life. ( heaven is nearness to God where hell is distance from him). So some prophets, or manifestations, that are believed to be God inspired are Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Buddha, Zoroaster, Krishna, Muhammad, the Bab, and Baha'u'llah. the last two being twin manifestations from this day and age. Religion is a changeless faith and God does not change religion. we only have so many messengers because of how humanity has changed and evolved. One way this is explained is that it is likened to different grades in school or different chapters in one book. Also we believe in indepent investigation of truth, not to just accept a religion because its your parents or because of what others say. There are a lot of scriptures but two main ones are the Kitab-i-Aqdas (book of laws) and Kitab-i-Iqan (book of certitude). some holidays included Ayyam-i-ha ( intercalary days) which are in preparation for the fast and are celebrated with acts of charity, gift giving, and social gatherings. Naw-Ruz ( new year) is after the fast and there is a party. Then three different Holy days are the first, ninth , and twelfth day of Ridvan. Then there's the Birth of Baha'u'llah, birth of Bab, declaration of the Bab, ascension of Baha'u'llah, martyrdom of the Bab, day of the covenant, and ascension of Abdu'l-Baha ( Baha'u'llah's son and appointed successor of the Faith. Most of those are just a gathering with food nothing to big. um yep so there is that you can get more info at
