Only eating once a day. Is this healthy?

Eating once a day is not the best way to handle your dietary needs... eating many small meals in a day is the right way of doing things. So the idea is that you are snacking periodically through the day to fuel your body.... we are not like cars where you can put the fuel in and it only gets used as needed. We run more like a fireplace... constant small bits of wood in the fire keep it burning at it's optimum level.. and this is how the body works. You will also have to look at how you are eating.. if you are eating many fruits and vegetables, then it stands to reason that you will lose the weight. And how about your activity levels?? Have they increased as well??

There are just so many factors that contribute to weight loss and diet is only one of them.

Eating once a day can cause issues for you like fatigue and it has its effect on your blood sugar levels as well so it could cause dizziness as well. You may be losing the weight now, but later on, you may find that you put the weight back on and actually gain more than what you started off as.

I try to eat 3 times a day and healthy snacks in between. I eat breakfast (important), lunch (sometimes) and dinner. If I miss one of them I make sure I make it up that day, As for healthy snacks I eat low fat, low sugar, high fibre and fruits and veggies.

There is not a many good examples of healthy foods. Not eating junk food as much, maybe like once or twice every two weeks or like a month. I personally eat junk food only on special occasions.

I also try to put more fruits and veggies in whatever I'm eating and look for low fat, low sugar, high fibre foods.

Everybody is different in terms of what they like or not so you have to find what you like.

Also, you can eat anything you want really just as long as you keep moving. Have a walk or go dancing or something after you eat and you'll be all good.

good luck

I usually eat once a day. How much I eat though depends on how sick I'm feeling and how many calories I'm burning. I have a hard time eating besides.

While I was out of riding injured (not able to do anything) I was eating an average of 700-900 calories a day, which is fine for my size. I'll soon be back to burning around 2000 calories a day though, so I really need to get back on a good eating schedule or else I get sick. :/

Today I ate a few biscuits, clam strips, and a few mozzarella strips. After I get back home I'm going to eat a fish with mashed potatoes and some biscuits.
