Face Your Fears Day

Take the time to think about what your existence may be like should you mastered a number of your finest fears. How would you react in a different way? Face Your Fears Day provides you with the opportunity to endure your fears, overcome them, and also to seize your day.

How did you beat your fear?

Hi Hunter,s..

Face your fear and do it anyway

Most fears arise from the unconscious level and it’s almost impossible to rationalize away at a conscious level something that is buried much deeper. It’s a little like trying to get rid of yard full of weeds using a machete. Sure they may disappear temporarily but don’t turn your back for too long because they’ll be back with a vengeance.

If you are going to be successful with this it’s absolutely critical you go easy on yourself and don’t beat yourself up. There is a reason you’re nervous, and even if you don’t know what it is it’s still a good one. You will not beat your unconscious into submission by telling it how ridiculous it’s behaving. In fact you’ll just make it believe its fears are justified.

“The greatest barrier to success is the fear of failure.”

How to Beat Your Fears

First, acknowledge your fear. This is a huge first step. If you do just this today, you’ve done something great. Many of us have these fears, but they are at the back of our mind, unnoticed, unacknowledged, as we try to ignore them and pretend they’re not there. But they are there. And they affect us, every day, all our lives. So acknowledge the fear.

Write it down. What’s your fear? Write it on a piece of paper. Writing it down not only acknowledges that you have it — bringing it out into the light — but it externalizes the fear. It takes the fear from the dark lurking places in the back of your mind, where it has power over you, out into the light of day, outside of you, where you have power over the fear. Take control over it by writing it down. It is now outside you. You can do something about it. I personally like to crumple it up and stomp on it, but you can do whatever you like. Post it on your fridge as a reminder of your enemy.

Feel the fear. You’ve acknowledged it, but you’re still afraid of it. You’re reluctant to even have this fear, perhaps even embarrassed about it. Well, no more. Recognize that you’re not alone, that we ALL have these fears, that we all think we might not be good enough. Yes, even the amazing Barack, the amazing Jessica Alba, the amazing Al Pacino. They have the same fears as you do. I sure do. Repeat after me: there’s nothing wrong with having this fear. Now allow yourself to feel it. Experience it fully. Bask in this fear. It isn’t as bad as you think. It’s a part of you, but it doesn’t control you. From djbarker on Twitter: “Feel the fear & do it anyway.”

Ask yourself: what’s the worst thing that can happen? Often it’s not as bad as we think. Do you fear failing in a new career? What would happen if you did? You’d get another job. You’d move on. You’d live. Do you fear being rejected by someone of the opposite sex? What would happen if you were? You’d lick your wounds, you’d find someone else who is more suited for you, you’d live. Do you fear being broke? What would happen if you were? You’d cut back on your expenses, perhaps ask family or friends to help you out for a little bit. You’d find a way to make money. You’d live.

Just do it. To repeat: feel the fear and do it anyway. To beat the fear, you have to just do it.

Prepare yourself for battle. When you’re going to take on an adversary, you prepare yourself. You arm yourself, and have a battle plan, and train yourself. Do this in your battle against your fear: arm yourself, have a battle plan, train yourself. If you want to be a musician but you fear failure … practice, practice, practice, then come up with a plan to succeed, then get all the skills and info you need to implement the plan, then practice some more. Then go out and implement the plan!

Be in the moment. Fear of failure (and other similar fears) are fears of the future. We get caught up in worrying about what might happen. Instead, banish all thoughts of the future. Banish even thoughts of past mistakes and failures. Now focus on right now. Do something right now to beat your fears, to pursue your dreams, and forget about what might happen. Just do it, now, in the moment. When you find yourself thinking about the past or future, bring yourself back in the moment and focus on what you’re doing right at this moment.

The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing, which you think you cannot do.

"Expose yourself to your deepest fear;

after that, fear has no power, and the

fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes.

You are free."

goodnight to you Have a awesome weekend

May the year a head be filled with joy and happiness..

how to overcome fear?

how to overcome fear?

You have emotional troubles. Emotions can be reshaped. But that takes effort on your part. Like the girl above me said, face fear in the face. I know that is not easily done, but take one step at a time.

Buy a journal and write down your fears. Write down why these things make you afraid. Then pray and tackle them one by one, one day at a time.

If you are afraid of driving, then write down why and try to reason in your head with facts about why you shouldn't be afraid to drive. Read about driving. Watch people drive on TV. Read about cars. Read about road trips. Look at pictures of the roads, cars, driving, etc.

If you are afraid that you will have an accident, then that means you are afraid to get hurt or afraid to die. Know that a plane can fall on your house. You can trip and break your neck in the bathroom. Yet, at this moment you have survive this from happening to you.

There are people who die in car accidents. There are people who get hurt in car accidents, but there are people who die in their homes too. So just as you feel safe in your home, you should feel safe in your car. And if you do die in a car accident, did you live life to the fullest, did you help others, visit your family, help out in the community, travel, donate, etc. Wouldn't that be a waste to die afraid? To die without truly living life? That is the tragedy right there.

One thing about being embarrassed, who in the entire world hasn't been embarrassed? Read about other people's embarrassments. Watch crazy videos about embarrassing things. And if someone laughs at you, try to think whether you thought is was really funny too. And if you don't think it's funny, then suck it up and move on. You only have one day to be embarrassed. The next day is a new day. Give yourself time to get over stuff.

Yesterday, I just wanted to quick my job. My coworkers were rude jerks. This hurts my feelings. But I repay with a smile regardless of how they act. I know some talk about me in a negative way, but it's not true. They assume they are right about correcting me, but I never tell them about the many things they need correcting. At the end of the day, I don't like people giving me attitude, giving me smart remarks, or looking down on me. And most of the day after work, I couldn't help but think about it and feeling hurt. I couldn't control it. So I just went and did some things that took my mind off of it, and relaxed. And at the end of the day, I said to myself that If I had a chance to relive the day, I would exactly do just that. Because I am not going to be afraid of what people say to or about me. Why should I? They make mistakes just like me. They get misjudge just like me. And yet, they continue to live their life, so why can't I? I know that at the end of the day, I didn't pay evil for evil. I didn't give attitude or argue with anyone. It doesn't pay off to do those things. And when we go through hard times, we can make a decision to let any experience shape us to be a better person.

And the next time around, it won't be so bad. I know I won't be hurt easily because overtime, stuff like this just becomes ineffective and my emotions won't be swayed by negativity anymore.

If you shy away from trouble, it will find you, and you won't be prepared to handle it. So the longer you stay away from the things you are afraid of, you won't ever mature or grow experience. Experience is what makes you who you are, especially if you have overcome hard experiences. Something good can come from it or something bad. Really, that choice is left up to you. God bless.

How do I stop fear from controlling my life?

How do I stop fear from controlling my life?

hi! :)

those fears of yours, people, appearance, and everything else they're still part of life. in fact, they're everywhere. every day, you'll still meet the same things, the same people, and there's still high school, the jobs everything else. but..... you just have to stop worrying about them. it's like bacteria. everywhere and everything else have bacteria, but people just try to stop worrying about them. that is why we live life normally. it's the same thing with your fears. they're everywhere but you just have to put your mind set on positive and imagine them as bacteria. they'll do no harm at all in your life, if you don't let them.

conquer your fears. prove to them you are strong and you'll easily defeat them. the fears will still be there if you don't do anything about it. they'll be there forever in your heart if you continue to worry about them. you just have to do something and conquer them all. it's better to leave the cage than to stay in there forever. no matter how big your fears may be, you're still strong and you can easily defeat them. i'll share you a very memorable quote, i'm not sure if you've heard it before though:

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

you should not be afraid that you are weak instead be afraid you are strong and you can defeat all obstacles that come in your way. you just have to believe in yourself. think positive. "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve". napoleon hill was a really poor man but he just used to think that way that's why he became so rich. that's the same thing with fears. you just have to think positive and it'll actually come out well even though you fail it'll still come out well, i hope you know what i mean :)

failure is possible. if you don't get it the first try, don't be afraid to go again. if you back down, then that's what FAILURE truly is. failure is a requirement. it's needed for success. you cannot be successful that easily. success= hard work and failure. don't be afraid to fail. even if "everything else" seems to fail, then don't give up. don't be like the "everything else". be the success. and by "success", i mean the persevering. that's what success truly is, it means perseverance. everyone fails. it's just part of life. in fact even the most famous person has failed numerous times:

these people, though life has been such a nightmare to them, they just learned to be persevering and they didn't let failure to back them down. they let failure to raise them up. no one can escape failure. it's just inevitable because it's part of life. without failure there'd be no life. if you fail 100 times then get up a hundred and one times.

you are more than fears. don't let those fears take over your life, more than that, don't let them continue to rule your life. you are more than them. if you like baseball, show them that. because by now, you're letting them hide your passion. you're letting them create a new person. and slowly by slowly, their mission will be complete until you die and later regret it on your death bed. they are sly, cunning and evil, and somehow you're letting them continue to be that way. show them you're smarter and stronger. and don't ever let them get to you. fears are very complex feelings but that doesn't mean we cannot overcome them. everything is possible. in this world we are living in, everything seems so equal. the lions are fiercer and stronger, the fish can swim faster, the cheetahs are faster but of all of them, nobody can be as much intelligent as the humans. nobody can be much braver than we are. nobody can overcome fears compared to humans. you are special. you are brave. and you can overcome them. i believe in you, but you have to believe in yourself too.

good luck and take care!
