Global Family Day 2025 is on Wednesday, January 1, 2025: Why would anyone make up global warming?

Wednesday, January 1, 2025 is Global Family Day 2025. Global Family Day, One Day of Peace and Sharing, is celebrated every January 1 in the United States as a global day of peace and sharing.

Global Family Day - 1st

Global Family Day, One Day of Peace and Sharing, is celebrated every January 1 in the United States as a global day of peace and sharing.

Why would anyone make up global warming?

The notion that global warming is made up is perhaps the feeblest of all the arguments that are used against the theory of global warming. In effect, anyone who uses such an argument is admitting that they can’t counter the global warming theory, have no rebuttals, don’t even understand the subject and so have to resort to something as banal as claiming it’s made up.

You’ll also notice that such claims are presented as-is, there’s never anything to beck them up, no evidence provided to show that the world isn’t arming, no admissions by scientists that they were once part of the conspiracy, no copies of accounts showing payments to people to perpetuate the supposed myths. Nothing.

Just as something of a side issue, I do work with the calculations every day and I wish it were just 8 to 5. In reality, the hours are often very long and can be quite unsociable (depending on the specific branch and task in hand). There have been times when I’ve worked over 100 hours in a week and other times when I’m away from home for several weeks at a time – which when you’ve got a family can be quite hard.

You mentioned money as the reason for making up the myth. Please be assured that if it were all about the money then the scientists would all flock to the petrochemical and pharmaceutical companies where the money is infinitely better. Speaking personally, for me it’s most definitely not about the money; I have family connections with a major oil corporation and could easily get a job working there which would double my salary and reduce working hours.

When a person starts out on a degree course in climatology or a related subject they do so in the knowledge that they are never going to get rich off the back of it. If it were about money then these scientists would never have entered the field in the first place.

The notion that global warming is nothing more than a conspiracy is truly bizarre. When you think about it, the conspiracy would have to involve every government in the world, every scientific organisation in the world, the majority of individual scientists, universities, financiers, economists, accountants, the judiciary, the military and every single major corporation including all the oil companies.

Just how credible is the thought that tens of millions of people could be involved in a conspiracy that has been running for decades and not one single person has ever broken ranks. A government committee of ten people can’t keep a secret from the media, what chance have ten million people got?

Further, the notion that global warming is a modern invention kind of gets shot down in flames when you research the history of global warming.

The first scientific connection to global warming dates from 1811 when it was speculated by physicist and astronomer Simeon Denis Poisson that atmospheric pollution led to increased temperatures.

In 1824 the French scientist Jean-Baptiste Fourier (a colleague of Poisson’s) put forward the notion that Earth's atmosphere was retaining heat. His published his findings in a work entitled “General Remarks about the Temperature of the Earth and the Planets in Space”

“Energy in the form of visible light from the Sun easily penetrates the atmosphere to reach the surface and heat it up, but heat cannot so easily escape back into space. For the air absorbs invisible heat rays (“infrared radiation”) rising from the surface. The warmed air radiates some of the energy back down to the surface, helping it stay warm”.

As far back as 1824 the mechanics of global warming were clearly understood.

Looking at the comments that some of the answerers have made it is clear just how ignorant some people are of even the most basic scientific facts. Some of the answers are nothing more than a diatribe of lies and deceit being relentlessly spewed forth by the gullible minds of the ignorant.

It always amazes me how utterly incapable the deniers are of addressing anything that’s even remotely scientific. Have you ever come across a rebuttal to the physics of global warming or the atmospheric chemistry involved. Has a denier ever attempted to make any differentiation between the mechanics of natural warming and how manmade global warming can’t obey the same scientific laws. Of course not, and so instead you get these tired old comments like “its all made up”.

The Last Days mentioned in the Bible?

The Last Days mentioned in the Bible?

The end of all wickedness and unrighteousness on earth in this ungodly global system of things.

Consider the world that became very wicked in the days of Noah. The Bible explains: “The world of that time suffered destruction when it was deluged with water.” The Bible also says: “[God] did not hold back from punishing an ancient world, but kept Noah, a preacher of righteousness, safe with seven others when he brought a deluge upon a world of ungodly people.”—2 Peter 2:5; 3:6.

Note what the end of that world meant and what it did not mean. It did not mean the end of humankind. Noah and his family survived the global Flood. So did the planet Earth and the beautiful starry heavens. It was “a world of ungodly people” that perished, a wicked system of things.

Eventually, as Noah’s offspring increased, another world developed. That second world, or system of things, has existed down to our day. Its history has been filled with war, crime, and violence. What will happen to this world? Will it survive?

After saying the world in Noah’s day suffered destruction, the Bible account continues: “By the same word the heavens and the earth that are now are stored up for fire.” (2 Peter 3:7) Indeed, as another Bible writer explains: “The world [the one existing today] is passing away.”—1 John 2:17.

The Bible does not mean that the literal earth or the starry heavens will pass away, even as these did not pass away in Noah’s day. (Psalm 104:5) Rather, this world, with its “heavens,” or governmental rulers under the influence of Satan, and its “earth,” or human society, will be destroyed as if by fire. (John 14:30; 2 Corinthians 4:4) This world, or system of things, will perish just as surely as did the world before the Flood. Even Jesus Christ spoke about the situation in “the days of Noah” as an example of what would happen just prior to the end of this world.—Matthew 24:37-39.

Significantly, when Jesus spoke of the days of Noah, it was in answer to his apostles’question: “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” (Matthew 24:3, King James Version) Jesus’ followers knew that this world would end. Did this prospect frighten them?

On the contrary, when Jesus described events that would occur prior to the world’s end, he encouraged them to rejoice ‘because their deliverance was getting near.’ (Luke 21:28) Yes, deliverance from Satan and his wicked system of things into a peaceful new world!—2 Peter 3:13.

But WHEN will this world end? WHAT “sign” did Jesus give of his “coming, and of the end of the world” as stated at Matthew 24:3 (King James Version)?

The GREEK word translated “coming” at Matthew 24:3 (and Matthew 24:37, 39) is pa·rou·si'a, and it means “PRESENCE,” that is, actually being on hand.

So when “the sign” is seen, contrary to popular but HIGHLY ERRONEOUS belief, it WOULD NOT mean Christ was SOON TO COME but that he had ALREADY "returned" as the ENTHRONED King of God's heavenly Kingdom government and was PRESENT in heaven as such. In other words, it would mean that he had begun ruling invisibly as a heavenly king and that he would soon bring an end to his enemies.—Revelation 12:7-12; Psalm 110:1, 2.

Jesus did not give just ONE event as “the sign.” He described MANY world events and situations. The "sign" is a COMPOSITE sign.

These happenings would be like the MANY different lines that make up a person’s fingerprint, a print that cannot belong to any other person. The “last days” contain their own pattern of marks, or happenings. These form a positive “fingerprint” that cannot belong to any other time period.

All of these would take place during the time that Bible writers called “the last days.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Peter 3:3, 4) Consider some of the things that Jesus foretold would mark “the last days” from the Bible based information within the following link:

The Bible itself reveals that the Last Days of this world (or global ungodly system of things) BEGAN in the scriptually shown year of 1914 C.E and the unified worldwide Christian congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses enthusiastically proclaim this Truth.

If ANYONE would SINCERELY like to find out WHERE and HOW the Bible itself reveals the date of 1914, feel free to read the detailed answer I posted on Yahoo Answers in the following link very carefully along with ANY Bible translation:

Happy Global Love Day 2008!?

Happy Global Love Day 2008!?

Happy Global Love Day to you too, my friend.

I did not know it was GLD, but I actually had a great day, today. People were nice everywhere I went, and I was in the best of moods and really happy, still am. I guess, somehow, the love spreads! Let's keep it up, shall we? Maybe we will make a difference for someone out there.

It sure made a difference to me, for one, not to have to deal with grumpy, impatient and rude people.

Holidays also on this date Wednesday, January 1, 2025...
