Is it legal to pre-date an inventor's log book?

you can write down anything you want, the issue will be (if it is ever raised) is can you prove anything you have written down.... it takes evidence to back up your documentation if you ever actually need it...

the log is a good idea but it is just one small part of proving you were the creator of an idea, system or product....

and you are not "pre-dating" you are "post-dating"........ predating would be writing down dates in the future that you are claiming you will do certain things. pre-dating would definitely NOT be ethical but may be legal in some limited circumstances....

does anyone know if sept.29 is a holiday? what holiday is it? does the mail run?

sept 29 isnt a national holiday in the US so all mail should come through just fine...no worries mate...
