Knights of Columbus Family Week on August, 2024: was this the worst week ever!?

Knights of Columbus Family Week 2024. Knights of Columbus #14895 - St Luke The Evangelist Council family picnic 6. Many Knights

was this the worst week ever!?

My teacher reminds me of history She's always repeating herself!

Why were the early days of history called the dark ages? Because there were so many knights!

Where was the Magna Carta signed? At the bottom!

What did they do at the Boston Tea Party? I don't know, I wasn't invited!

What did Paul Revere say when he got on his horse? Giddy up horsey!

How did Columbus's men sleep on their ships? With their eyes shut!

When did Caesar reign? I didn't know he reigned. Of course he did, didn't they hail him?

You've failed history again! Well you always told me to let bygones be bygones!

How did you do in your tests? I did what George Washington did! What was that? Went down in history!

What do Alexander the Great and Winnie the Pooh have in common? They both have 'the' as their middle names!

What did the Pharaohs use to keep their babies quiet? Egyptian mummies.

Q: Where does Napolean keep his armies? A: In his sleevies!

What did King Arthur sleep with when he was afraid of the dark? A knight light.

What was Camelot? A place where people parked their camels!

Who gave the Liberty Bell to Philadelphia? It must have been a duck family... A duck family? Didn't you say there was a quack in it!

There was a farmer who had a lot of live stock. He had cows, horses, chickens, pigs, and bulls. One day a terrible twister came and the man and his family were only saved by throwing themselves in the nearest ditch. After it was all over, he looked up to see that the house was gone. Saddened by the loss, he went out to see if any of the animals had survived. The horses, chickens, pigs, and cows were laid out flat but the bulls were standing! The farmer was amazed and asked them, "How is it that all the other animals are down and you are still standing?" The bulls replied, "We bulls wobble but we don't fall down!"

Who could I ask to help set up a fund-raiser?

My suggestion would be to talk to the Red Cross, the Officers and Enlisted wives orginizations on your base as well as the STAR spouse for your units. They may all have had some experience.

My sister-in-law recently lost her nephew while he was serving in Iraq. The family was able to organize a fundraiser through the Knights of Columbus. They sold tickets to the party, got donations of items from local business for raffles and in the end made $10,000 for the soldier's son's education fund. It took a lot of work and co-ordination to do. If you want to try that route, contact local orginizations like the VFW, American Legion posts, Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodges, etc to see if they can help with the room. Food is something you would need to discuss and most of the events like this have a "pay as you go" for the bar. Orginizations that someone in the group has membership in or has worked with before will be a huge plus.

If you are looking for something more simple, many families have done things like handmade bracelts or ordering and then selling custom made bands (like the ones people wear for autism or breast cancer awareness). This will require putting out some money up front, but will allow you to continue the work over time and will take less effort than a huge party.

Other families have done memorial t-shirts through Cafe Press.

Please send both my thoughts and thanks to both the families.

Is Joe Scarborough’s support of Mark Sanford an indicator of GOP abandoning family values?

Is Joe Scarborough's support of Mark Sanford an indicator of GOP abandoning family values?

Politicans deserve Oscars for deceiving people, the GOP never cared about morals just like the Democrat Party doesn't care about poor people. They only care for power.

Hitler was into the occult and in the order, we should always consider him a war criminal. Historian Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke analyzed the topic in The Occult Roots of Nazism. He argued cautiously for some real links between some ideals of Ariosophy and Nazi ideology, but also analyzed the problems of the numerous popular "occult historiography" books written on the topic. He separated empiricism and sociology from the "Modern Mythology of Nazi Occultism" books which "have represented the Nazi phenomenon as the product of arcane and demonic influence". He considered most of these to be "sensational and under-researched".[1]

I hope to show that most modern secret societies and especially those that practice degrees of initiation — and that is the key — are really one society with one purpose. You may call them whatever you wish — the Order of the Quest, the JASON Society, the Roshaniya, the Qabbalah, the Knights Templar, the Knights of Malta, the Knights of Columbus, the Jesuits, the Masons, the Ancient and Mystical Order of Rosae Crucis, the Illuminati, the Nazi Party, the Communist Party, the Executive Members of the Council on Foreign Relations, The Group, the Brotherhood of the Dragon, the Rosicrucians, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, the Open Friendly Secret Society (the Vatican), the Russell Trust, the Skull & Bones, the Scroll & Key, the Order — they are all the same and all work toward the same ultimate goal, a New World Order. Many of them, however, disagree on exactly who will rule this New World Order, and that is what causes them to sometimes pull in opposite directions while nevertheless proceeding toward the same goal. The Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland, also known as the British Zionist Federation or simply the Zionist Federation (ZF), was established in 1899 to campaign for a permanent homeland for the Jewish people. The Zionist Federation is an umbrella organisation for the Zionist movement in the United Kingdom, representing more than 120 organisations, and over 50,000 affiliated members. In 1917 Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild was the addressee of the Balfour Declaration to the Zionist Federation,[29] which committed the British government to the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people. The Rothschilds also go by the titles "Robber Barons."

Bohemian Grove is a 2,700-acre (1,100 ha) campground located at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California, belonging to a private San Francisco-based men's art club known as the Bohemian Club. In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts a two-week, three-weekend encampment of some of the most powerful men in the world.[1][2] Since the founding of the club, the Bohemian Grove's mascot has been an owl, symbolizing knowledge. A 40-foot (12 m) hollow owl statue made of concrete over steel supports stands at the head of the lake in the Grove; this Owl Shrine was designed by sculptor and two-time club president Haig Patigian, and built in the 1920s.[17] Since 1929, the Owl Shrine has served as the backdrop of the yearly Cremation of Care ceremony.[2] Also known as Moloch in biblical reference which was a idol which children were slaughtered in sacrifice to in Cannanite or the Masonic symbol for wisdom.

The Thule Society (pron.: /ˈθjuːliː/; German: Thule-Gesellschaft), originally the Studiengruppe für germanisches Altertum ("Study Group for Germanic Antiquity"), was a German occultist and völkisch group in Munich, named after a mythical northern country from Greek legend. The Society is notable chiefly as the organization that sponsored the Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (DAP), which was later reorganized by Adolf Hitler into the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP or Nazi Party).
