National Umbrella Month on March, 2025: If you could declare a national holiday celebrating something, what would it be?

March, 2025 is National Umbrella Month 2025. March is National Umbrella Month! March is National Umbrella

If you could declare a national holiday celebrating something, what would it be?

This website has some unkown holidays listed:

Such as National Craft Month or National Talk to Your Teen About Sex Month (March)

Did you know that March 1st is National Beer Day as well as Be Positive----Do Something Day? And March 3rd is Fun Facts About Names Day, I Want You To Be Happy Day as well as National Anthem Day. I checked out March because my birthday is March 13th which is also Good Samaritian Involvement Day, National Open An Umbrella Indoors Day & World Kidney Day.

If it is not already listed I would like a National Quiet Time Day. A day of just peace and quiet. No news stations reporting horrors, no tv at all. Or maybe National Just Pick Up a Book and Read Day.

Great question!!

Addition: Did you know that each month has a day called Bona Bottler's Day! It is celebrated on the day that coordinates with the month.

Ex: 1-1 (Jan. 1)

2-2 (Feb. 1), etc.

Very interesting and most definately a great way to celebrate each month. You could have a party for Bona Day any month of the year!

Will tanning for 3 months a few times a week have a lasting effect?

Will tanning for 3 months a few times a week have a lasting effect?

No.

Any time you're exposing yourself from the sun, you are taking a risk in cancer, if not cancer, from Discoid Lupus. I've been protecting myself from the sun since age 9, but no matter, I got Discoid Lupus. Google that one. It was like someone punched my chin and it gave a purplish mark. It took 12 years for that to fade, so now I'm using a wide brim hat or umbrella for protection. Gene Simmons & Shannon both have been seen hold an umbrella during an event. They were invented before beauty products, for a reason.

To get some tan you will have to be tanning for @ least 60 years, George Hamilton & Tom Jones are two examples, who ARE super tan! Google them.

Tanning comes & go, unless you do them everyday 24/7 for the rest of your life. But in the end the only thing you'll benefit is either moles, freckles or discolorations from sunscreens, lotions, etc. and the more you do, the more they get larger, darker & bumpier. Like exercising, your muscles will sag, when suddenly you stopped, same with getting a tan, they will fade.

Tanning, is a result for 'damaged skin' and no products can reverse you from skin cancer or damaged skin, may prevent you from pre-mature aging, but that's part of the billion dollar beauty industry.

A new study conducted by the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Dermatology has found that tanning bed exposure can be dangerous when tanners self-diagnose skin problems and use the radiation to treat skin eruptions. The study specifically found that a tanning bed user that used the radiation to treat a mild skin rash caused by an ibuprofen allergy developed a much more severe reaction called toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN). When left untreated, TEN can be fatal.

March 5, 2011 2:28 PM:

Melanoma is the leading cause of death from skin disease. An estimated 68,130 new cases of melanoma were diagnosed in the United States during 2010 and about 8,700 people died from the disease, according to the National Cancer Institute.

Getting wrinkly, early-aged skin

Getting nasty, painful sunburns

Getting skin cancer

This year, 56,900 new cases of skin cancer will be reported; most of these people (not so coincidentally) don't take care of their skin when out in the sun.

HOW OLD DO YOU LOOK . . . REALLY?

Blame genetics all you want, but it's really about how you've treated your skin. Dr. Michael Roizen, M.D. internist & author of the RealAge books, to quantify the effect your habits have had. The quiz is designed with a 28yrs. old in mind. Damage is cumulative, so if you're older or younger than 28, the number on the right would be slightly higher or lower.

Take your age and add the number of years listed on the right for every 'yes' answer.

1. Have you had more than 10 bad sunburns in your life? + 25 years

2. Do you have red, itchy eyes from allergies: + 25 years

3. Are you a regular smoker? + 2 years

4. Do you live in a highly polluted city? + 25 years

Now subtract the number of years on the right for every 'yes' answer.

1. Do you cleanse your skin every day? - 1.5 years

2. Do you get seven to nine hours of sleep each night - 1.5 years

3. Do you wear sunscreen regularly? - 1 year

4. Do you have dark brown skin tone? - 1 year

5. Do you regularly wear moisturizer? - 1 year

I took the test, I'm 7 years younger, but people thought I look more like I'm in my 30's, but I'm 30 years older than that.
