If, however, you'd like to cut down on the amount of peanut butter you're eating WITHOUT giving up some of your sandwiches, then you should try a peanut butter and banana sandwich -- they're so good and you can use a bit less peanut butter without sacrificing flavor. Plus they're really good for you!

I make them by toasting the bread before putting on natural peanut butter and about half a banana (sliced). The hot toast melts the pb into delicious goo :) Feel free to use a whole banana, but I find that it gets much too hard to keep it between the bread...

Peanut butter is good for you. If you are eating the natural peanut butter, then you are doing your body a favor. One tablespoon per day is not much, it won't hurt you unless you are allergic!

Your BMI is actually a little underweight. I would suggest that you eat a little more peanut butter, just to be on the safe side. You could stand to gain a few pounds. Being super skinny is not good for a young lady.

Peanut butter is actually good for you because it's high in monounsaturated fat. The thing you have to watch out for is partially hydrogenated oils (trans fats). If your peanut butter has them, and most commercial peanut butters do, you should find another brand. Smuckers 100% All-Natural peanut butter is pretty good, and there's also the Smart Balance Omega-3 peanut buttter, but I find the Smart Balance tastes "off" and really only goes well on whole wheat bread with some Smuckers Simply Fruit jelly.
