Monday, January 13, 2025 is Rubber Duckie Day 2025. Quack, Quack: Happy Rubber Duckie Day! Rubber Duck, Osaka 2009

Rubber Duckie Day

Start running the tub, it’s Rubber Duckie Day! Celebrate if you take a rubber duck (or going for a whole load of rubber ducks) within the bath and acting out small, theatrical moments of the selecting. Try Macbeth, or perhaps your favourite opera?

Does a rubber-duckie…?

Sorry, but no. Under Sesame Street law you aren't even acknowledged as a person, you're just Ernie's property. Don't worry rubber-duckie, your kind will have rights some day. Just stay strong and until then... think happy thoughts? :P

Well you can get a small pool and put a bunch of rubber duckies in it. You can also go to celebrateexpress.com. They have some rubber duckie party ideas as well. Outside of renting a duck costume and having someone parading around the party in it, I am plum out of ideas. Kiss your daughter for me and tell her the Caveman says, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"!!!! I pray that it will be a wonderfully blessed day for you both. Peace and God bless.

who invented the rubber duckie?

who invented the rubber duckie?

The history of the first rubber duck is not known, but its history is inevitably linked to that of rubber manufacturing, the development of early rubber (and later synthetic rubber) toys including cars and dolls, and the advent of squeak toys which dates to at least the late 1800s. Although squeak toys are often thought of as dog toys, many people still enjoy the squeaking rubber duck. The earliest rubber ducks were made from harder rubber and lacked squeakers.

Ernie, a popular Muppet from Sesame Street, has helped to popularize the floating rubber duck bath toy with his song "Rubber Duckie", though rubber ducks existed long before the advent of this television show. The yellow rubber duck has achieved an iconic status in American pop culture. In the United States the rubber duck is often symbolically linked to bathing or bath tubs and to babies and toddlers.

Rubber Duckie

(From Sesame Street)

Rubber Ducky, you're the one,

You make bathtime lots of fun,

Rubber Ducky, I'm awfully fond of you;

Woo woo be doo

Rubber Ducky, joy of joys,

When I squeeze you, you make noise!

Rubber Ducky, you're my very best friend, it's true!

Doo doo doo doo, doo doo

Every day when I

Make my way to the tubby

I find a little fella who's

Cute and yellow and chubby

Rub-a-dub-a-dubby!

Rubber Ducky, you're so fine

And I'm lucky that you're mine

Rubber ducky, I'm awfully fond of you.

Every day when I

Make my way to the tubby

I find a little fella who's
