Steve Jobs Day

Jobs would be a renowned businessman, thought leader and visionary. He headed and dramatically changed numerous industries, and lead organisations from the like of Apple, Pixar and lots of other big names.Jobs died on October fifth, 2011, and Steve Jobs Day was established like a celebration of his existence and commemoration of his dying.

STEVE JOBS?!?!?!!! ?????!!?

It wasn't all that long ago that Steve Jobs resigned actually. But Tim Cook took the reigns at that time and will remain as Apple's CEO. Don't think for even a second that Steve Jobs wasn't, if he was able, being consulted. It was a matter of months (early in 2011) prior to his death that he announced his retirement. Regardless of who is at the helm of Apple, there will never be anyone as innovative or as brilliant as Steve Jobs was. Hopefully, they have learned from him, and will take his lead going forward. Even knowing of his illness, it was a very sad day when Steve Jobs passed away. The design team will be heavilly relied on, as always.

Steve Jobs Yacht has been unveiled in the Dutch city of Aalsmeer. The 260-feet long yacht of lightweight aluminum and 10-feet high windows has been named "Venus." Many wonder how much did the Steve Jobs Yacht cost to make.

The Steve Jobs yacht cost has yet to be revealed. However, the yacht is designed in typical Apple style with its minimalist exterior and a cluster of seven 27-inch Mac computers on the interior.

Walter Isaacson describes the yacht in his Steve Jobs biography:

The yacht was a project Jobs began and hoped to see until its finish. French designer, Philippe Starck, is reported to have designed the interior of the yacht for Jobs. Dutch custom yacht builders constructed the machine, while Jobs continually tweaked designs until the day of his death in October 2011.

"I know that it's possible I will die and leave Laurene with a half-built boat," Jobs said, according to Isaacson. "But I have to keep going on it. If I don't, it's an admission that I'm about to die."

Dutch blog, "One More Thing," reports that Jobs' family will formally unveil the yacht in Aalsmeer.

Steve Jobs' yacht is free to set sail after the late Apple (NasdaqGS: AAPL - news) co-founder's estate paid a deposit to resolve a dispute with the designer.

The boat, which reportedly cost more than £80m to build, was impounded after Philippe Starck said Mr Jobs' estate still owed him around £2.5m for his contribution to its design.

Mr Starck said he was to be paid a fixed sum of £7m, while lawyers for Mr Jobs' estate said he was to be paid a percentage of the project's cost - equal to £5m.

"The Venus is no longer impounded, we have found a solution," said lawyer Gerard Moussault.

"A security deposit was paid into a bank account, but I cannot say for how much."

The designer was supposedly "very close" to Mr Jobs during the period the design was agreed and construction went ahead.

That was said to be one of the reasons there was no formal agreement on the job.

The Dutch-built yacht was unveiled in October, just over a year after Mr Jobs died of respiratory problems related to his pancreatic cancer.

Although the boat is no longer impounded, it remains in Amsterdam harbour
