Wow, I had the same problem as you, so I can relate to it. But, I just bought a new Toshiba laptop (which you can see from my question). Well you should clean your computer from all that junk and not needed files. You should also download Comodo registry cleaner, it will make your computer faster by cleaning your registry from errors and that stuff. Also, download mcafee security center (its free on trial, and the trial is 3 months lol), then go to Maintain Computer and then to Mcafee Quick Clean, now that REALLY frees up your space on computer, and also it CANNOT be recovered so it's great cause it doesent store anywhere. But also, if you have 128 mb of ram, or 256 then you should uograde RAM because that barely enough to keep windows running. Upgrade it to 2 GB at least, and then I assure you you won't have any problems. i certanly hope this helps you, because I haven't really got a chance to improve my old computer with the same simptoms. Also yea you should run Disk cleanup and Defragment, but you can do all that from Maintain Computer in that Mcafee I told.
