Universal Studios- both parks in one day or no?

To do both USO & IOA, in a single day during peak, would be a huge challenge. To even consider it, would require that the visitor...

...be an energetic adult.

...not have kids or sr's w/them.

...be an expert on both parks.

...be able to tolerate relentless heat & humidity.

...dish out the bucks for an Express Pass, or at least queue up in the single-rider line.

...not mind foregoing many non-priority rides/shows/exhibits/shops.

If you have a good amusement park near home, why bother w/IOA? Sure, if WWoHP (Harry Potter) is a real big deal for you, then I could understand. Just know that IOA is actually a scaled-down version of a full-blown amusement park. Sorry IOA fans, but it takes a backseat to Cedar Point, Magic Mountain, etc.

I would only do USO, but if you choose to do both, I'm confident you won't get your money's worth, you'll rush thru them like a lunatic, and you'll be left exhausted. Disney will require ALL your energy.
