Saturday, March 18, 2023 is Forgive Mom and Dad Day 2023. Devotional: Forgiveness Read Today's Devotional From Pastor Fibion About Forgiveness
Your mom is right. It's between the 2 of them. The world doesn't evolve around you honey. This is their problem. Not yours. If she is gullible enough to forgive him, then that's it.
Should I forgive my father ?
Yes you should, maybe not right away but defiantly. The reason I say this is because my dad died when I was 5. And 9 years have gone by and I miss him a lot. And if your mad at your dad for the rest of your life and don't have him near you. The days will add up and let's just say its not the best feeling in the world.
My dad isnt really my dad...?
Okay, your mom didn't tell you. She probably had her reasons, which seemed okay at the time. At least, she thought she was doing the right thing. You have 2 parents who love you, your mom and your step-dad. That's what you think about. 2 wonderful parents who love you and would do anything for you. If you weren't told about your bio-dad, and the socialw orkers thought it was in your best interest, they were probably right. There's no way to know for sure, when you decide to do something, that it's going to be the right thing. Only time can determine that. Remember that lesson and use it when you have a choice to make. Forgive your parents, they were only trying to do what they thought was best for you. Don't worry about the bio-dad. If he really wanted to have contact with you, he would have kept trying until he was successful. Enjoy the parents you have. They sound like decent people. And remember, your dad really IS your dad. He's been there for you all these years. Blood doesn't make someone a daddy, neither does sperm. It takes a heart to make someone a daddy, regardless of who fathered you.
