The Capital Building is really cool and up the road they have under this bridge thing a place where bats fly out at night and it's cool to watch that but up and down downtown Austin there were plenty of clubs and bars, a real good barbaque place not to far from the capitol is "Iron Works barbaque" if your into baseball just up the road in round rock you can watch the Round Rock Express, I found this on the internet
