Thank God it’s Freyaday!!!!!!!!?

All of these days come from the Ancient Egyptian

Most modern days now follow the final names used over the centuries, which are Germanic in origin.

Sunday- "Sun Day"

Originally an Egyptian naming, for each day had a planet assigned to it. Among Christians it is the day of the Sabbath.

Monday- "Moon Day";

1st day of the week (Western standards) however the 2nd day by ancient pagan standards (Sun & Moon... in that order).

Tuesday- "Tyr's Day" or "The Day of Mars"

This is the day of the week Constantinople fell, 'Day of War' and a general feeling that it is an unlucky day because of this.

Wednesday- "Wodin's Day" (Germanic) or "Odins Day (Norse)

In Latin this was 'Mercury's Day'; all of these deities guided the dead to the underworld. In modern German; 'Mittwoch'- the middle of the week. So, a 'Day of the Dead'....

Thursday- "Thunar's Day" (Germanic for Jupiter's Day)

In Christian circles this is the day of the last supper and the day Christ ascended into the heavens 40 days after he he rose from the dead.

Friday- "Frigga's or Freyja's Day" (Germanic)

Islamic 'Holy Day', their equivalent of the Western Sunday.

Saturday- "Saturn's Day"

Jewish 'Holy Day', their equivalent of Western Sunday. Also formerly the Christian Sabbath until Emperor Constantine forced a change in the Sabbath day in Constantinople on pain of death. Emperor Constantine also forced the worship of the birth date of his god upon the Christians..... December 25th; Mithra's B'day

How was your day?

How was your day?

For a Monday in the retail Christmas shopping season it was pretty decent thankfully. My workday was not bad and went by pretty good. Thank God for that. In retail customers seemingly think it's their fifth amendment right to get out of the store quick with their items paid for and bagged... totally irregardless to the volume of customers in the stores in addition to the amount of manpower available at the time. Ah well. I'm trying to keep up my Christmas spirit and sing when the mood strikes me. Merry Christmas.
