no. it just stopped snowing where i live. i used to have an umbrella with retarded little cats all over it. :D
using an umbrella on a sunny day?
Make sure the material of the umbrella will block both UVA and UVB rays, otherwise using it as described is fairly useless.
Small cheap umbrellas ($5 from the discount store) will probably not help much. A more pricey golf umbrella might work better.
Also, there is a difference between sunscreen and sunblock. Use sunblock.
Finally, there are cosmetics that contain ingredients that can provide additional sun protection. Might be worth considering.

As far as what I think of the people that carry umbrellas on sunny days? As long as they're courteous and not going around pushing or poking other people while out and about, or trying to call attention to themselves or the umbrella, then there isn't much to think about -- "to each, his own", and "who am i to judge?"
