I started golfing a little under 2 years ago. At first, I had a beginners set of woods and irons. After about 6 months, I started upgrading the woods 1 at a time. I bought the Cobra LDM series except my 9 wood and it is a Lynx. I would suggest that you go to a golf store and hit a store brand or ask if they have used set if you don't want to spend a lot of money right off. Get the woods that you hit best. Try before you buy regardless of brand.

can a woman use a mans set of golf clubs?

Girls can play with any type of clubs being men's women's or kids. i am 17 a girl and i started with mens clubs because that is all i had, then i switched to lady hibrid clubs. But a month ago when i was getting fitted for ladies clubs when the pro at the shop measured my swing speed and i out swung my ladies clubs and had to switch to men's clubs i am really short so they had to be cut down. it really depends on how fast you swing, but you can buy "universal" men's clubs but if you are shorter ladies clubs would be best....
