Is running every day bad?

Running every day is not bad as long as you make sure you leave some of those days for easy days. It is bad to run every day without resting but resting does not necessarily mean not going for a run. After a hard workout your muscles need time to recover or you become prone to injury and your body will start resisting when you go for runs, so after a hard workout go for an easy run, slow and short (how slow and how short depends on what kind of shape you are in). Make sure not to increase your mileage too quickly, the suggested mileage increase is 10% a week. A good way to check if you are over training is to take your resting heart rate as soon as you wake up in the morning- hold two fingers on your neck under the right side of your jaw and count your heart beats for a minute (or 30 for seconds then multiply by 2). It should be relatively the same every morning, if you notice your resting heart rate is faster than normal it means you need a recovery day! take it easy for a day and take your heart rate again the next morning. Running is a great way to get in shape!

how much should i run a day?

how much should i run a day?

Run 30 minutes without stopping? Who measures how well you can run by how long you can run? That's simple, run slowly and maintain an easy pace for 30 minutes.

Seems a bit pointless though, most train for distance not time.

Anyway, just train by running as many miles as you can handle, but if you only have 9 days you're not going to see any major improvement in your game.

I run every day but still unfit help plz?

I run every day but still unfit help plz?

1) Running everyday isn't good for runners, much less football players. Your body needs at least one day of rest.

2) If you are running long distance, say a half hour on your runs, that doesn't prepare you for football other than being general foundation work to allow you to BEGIN training for football which requires training for a series of short sprints. Consider that the longest you can run in football is 100 yards and all but one or two players will never run that far in a career. Practice repeat sprints of 30-40 yards with short rests in between to mimic what you would do in a foot ball game.
