We have many freedoms in this country. China has few freedoms to offer their people. We have the Constitution, they don't. We are a democratic society, they are a socialist republic.There are vast differences between the two countries. This should give you something to go on.

I need an idea on what to do for my freedom week contest?
You could make a Collage - gather pictures, photographs, knick-knacks, etc. that represent what freedom means to you, & glue them. You can include freedom fighters, symbols of freedom, too.
You can glue them into a Shape Collage. eg. a flitting butterfly or a flag - these symbolize freedom.
Or you could write the word "freedom" & related words & form a shape collage. eg.
Or an ASCII or typographic image using the word & synonyms.
You can also include quotations on freedom.
Also look for synonyms to add to your imagery & creativity - they can spark so many more ideas.
You could make an audio tape recording of All the various sounds you hear that you find liberating - eg. birds singing, crickets clacking, music, baby cooing, puppies/kittens, .....whatever You find is "free" & unrestricted.
You can show women breaking the cultural/gender-linked glass ceiling & flying out into the open world, equipped with various tools/uniforms/skills....Again, this can be done through pictures & collage technique.
Or you could make yourself a pair of wings - flying free as a bird !
You can make a little model/sculpture using toothpicks as flag-poles & little fabric/paper flags from all around the world. Make a globe [any ball or foam or papier mache orb with the continents/countries painted over it]. Pierce the flags into the earth-shaped globe. Each flag represents the freedom of its people.

But you must sit back and think what freedom means to You. Do you feel you are 'free'? Or when do you feel truly liberated & free - what are you doing then? Use these answers to conjure something up.
