Personal Trainer Awareness Day

Among the most usual New Year's resolutions is to burn fat, visit the fitness center and obtain healthy; however many of these desires fall a little brief! As such, January is often among the busiest durations for personal fitness instructors! Personal Trainer Awareness Day aims to highlight not simply how busy trainers are throughout January, however likewise to highlight just how much additional possibility you could have of sticking to your physical exercise and fat burning routines if you preserve an individual trainer.

How do I get a personal fighting/defense instructor?

There are plenty of martial arts / fighting systems etc. If you want a personal trainer like Jennifer Lopez had in the movie, be prepared to pay. You may want to look to traditional jujitsu (not sport jujitsu), krav maga, fight, scars, spears, etc. There is nothing wrong with traditional okinawan karate etc, don't rule that out.

There are instructors that will personally train you if that is what you are looking for, however it is better to join a class so you have many different types of people to work with. It will also be cheaper in the long run than personal training.

Ask the instructors you talk to what kind of mental preparation are they going to teach you. Anyone can learn techniques and not be able to put them into practice because they do not have the survival, killer mind set. Not paranoia.

The physical approach is not always the best answer. In Karate Kid the greatest line I remember was "best block, no be there", Best situation is no be there. Use your head, figure it out ahead of time and avoid the situation if at all possible. Otherwise you better have the right mentality to fight without rules to save your life if it comes down to it.

There are plenty of people who know zero martial arts knowlege or skills that save their lives in dire situations because of their mental awareness, and mental attitude for survival no matter what.

Always be aware of your surroundings, learn and know the various scenarious the you can get in trouble with, do not put yourself in those scenarios, have a plan, make the plan dynamic so it can change with the situation, and develop the survival mentality.

You are in charge of your life. Don't let some stranger dictate to you when you are going to be safe of not.

They have no right.

You are worth defending!

Should I start p90x? Afraid of possible cons? What to do after 90 days?

Should I start p90x? Afraid of possible cons? What to do after 90 days?

You don't need p90x to burn fat. You don't even need it to build muscle. However, if you want to spend the money and go with that gig, it's your choice.

The way to burn fat is to control your diet. I don't know your biometrics so I don't know your BMR. However, you would probably burn 1500 calories per day if you did nothing but sleep. That's about 3 pounds of fat per week if all you do is burn fat. It's true that exercise will help you burn more fat but it's a hard way to do it. And, if you're going to work that hard, don't do it for fat loss, do it for fitness. In other words, establish you diet to control the fat and create your workout routine to meet your fitness goals (strength, endurance, flexibility, bone density, balance, body awareness, poise and comportment, etc.).

If you burn fat too fast your body will slow your metabolism to conserve that fuel. That will result is a slow fat burn rate. So, it's wise to keep your fat loss at a pound a week...maybe two at the most. Here's a great website to help you do that. -->

You don't need p90x because you can learn about strength training and fitness on your own and become your own personal trainer. That's important because it's YOUR body and you should have your own goals rather than following some one-size-fits-all video. You can learn plenty from watching my favorite personal trainer, Scooby at... . Check out his videos and don't be intimidated by his muscle. His advice is as good for girls as guys. Here are some fitness facts you may find helpful.

♥ If you consume fewer calories than you burn, you have to lose fat eventually. There are no exceptions to this fact.

♥ There are only two nonsurgical things we can do to sculpt a better body and they are (1) lose fat and (2) build muscle. This fact assumes muscular atrophy and fat gain will not sculpt a better body.

♥ A pound of fat will yield about 3500 calories (Kcal) of energy.

♥ An average person must run or walk about 5 miles (8 km) every day to burn one pound of fat per week assuming their diet allows for fat consumption.

♥ An average person must run or walk about 350 miles (563 km) to burn 10 pounds and their diet must allow it. If they walk 350 miles (13.4 marathons) at 3mph it will take them 117 hours or about three full 40 hour work weeks to burn 10 pounds of fat.

♥ If an average person consumes 500 calories per day less than they burn, they will lose about a pound a week with no extra time or physical effort required.

♥ Running does not burn any more fat than walking as long as the distance remains the same.

♥ It does not matter if a person runs or walks a given distance…they will burn the same number of calories. Calories are energy and energy expenditure is not time dependent. How fast a person runs has nothing to do with how many calories they burn. Only the distance determines the calories burned.

♥ There is no exercise which will remove fat from a particular place on the body. Your body (genetics) determines where you lose fat, not you nor your diet nor your exercise.

♥ It doesn’t matter how hard or how long you exercise, you will not lose any fat if you eat too much. When it comes to burning fat, diet always trumps exercise.

♥ There are no supplements which will make your body burn fat. Only you can do that with diet control.

♥ Refined protein supplements are a much worse form a protein than a balanced diet of nutritious natural foods which includes all essential amino acids (fish, meat, dairy, grains, etc.) because most of the nutrition has been lost in processing

♥ The body you have today is not the same body you were born with. With only a few exceptions such as adult milk teeth, your body has been replaced one cell at a time; a process which continues your entire life.

if i run twice a day how long will it take me to lose weight?

if i run twice a day how long will it take me to lose weight?

(this is gonna earn me a "best answer" lol)

realistically, I don't like to suggest this but since its just a week, I'd go as close to zero carb as possible for 2-3 days, then eat some carbs the next day in the morning, then go back to low carbs...make sure you're eating LEAN protein like chicken, turkey, fish, lean cuts of beef, protein powder, egg whites, etc...5-6 small meals/feedings a day, no exceptions. by doing this, you'll be getting your body to burn stored bodyfat for energy since you're not taking in carbs...if you do this properly, you'll melt off a couple lbs...

you'll also have to cut out as much sodium as possible, to avoid any water retention...and then on the day before the shoot, you can use a wrestler/fighter trick to cut water, use one of those plastic "sauna suits" from target or walmart, to get you to sweat more...you can lose like 5-10lbs of just water like that and will make your face look a bit leaner, then after the shoot, you can rehydrate with gatorade and pasta to get some glycogen into your system

for the workouts, running is ok but you'll get far better results if you do intervals and/or circuit training, like you run for 2-3 min, then do a set EACH of burpees, pushups, squats and crunches...and then repeat the whole thing, for as many times as you can in the alotted time you have to workout, even try to get in some jump rope

if you need to take in some carbs, make sure they're early in the day and definitely NO carbs after you workout for the day

you won't see stuff like this in any diet books for a reason, its extremely tough, a total mental game...remember this is just free advice on the web, but it works for high school and college wrestlers, as well as professional MMA fighters, etc
