First of all, you should make your intention for Allah.....you tried to help your people for the sake of Allah not for the sake of being famous or that the books of history would glorify you.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: 'The first of people against whom judgment will be pronounced on the Day of Resurrection will be a man who died a martyr (in the Cause of Allah). He will be brought and Allah will make known to him His favors and he will recognize them. Allah, The Exalted, will say: 'And what did you do about them?' He will say: 'I fought for You until I died a martyr (in Your Cause). Allah Subhanah will Say: 'You have lied - you did but fight that it might be said [of you]: He is courageous. And so it was said.' Then he will be ordered to be dragged along on his face until he is cast into Hell-fire.

Secondly, in Islam if someone was killed in protecting his/her family, money, country, religion will be a martyr and he/she will enter the heaven or paradise.He/she was not recognized as killing him/herself or suiciding although he/she knew the risk to be killed.

But killing yourself because of your own personal problem is haram in islam.

how was Martin Luther King Jr. confident, courageous and patient?

He reminded me of Andy Taylor of the Andy Griffith Show who didn't

carry a gun.

Martin Luther King, unlike Malcolm X, believed in non-violence like Ghandi. He believed in standing and marching silently or singing songs to God which strengthened the people in jeopardy. Eventually, he got what he set out for. Even though like Moses he did not see the Promise Land, Obama - a minority is running for president and being supported by various nationalities and people of all ethnicity.

On King's side there were no fatalities enforced by him. However, on the other side, there were fatalities inflicted to many Blacks as well as some whites in regards to freedom and Civil Rights.

When you are confident, you don't have to argue because you know God has your back. He says He will fight out battles when we are righteous. You can have a manicure and pedicure going on and all your extremities committed to that process but the battle is still being fought as well as won.

King was courageous because he knew his life could be ended at any time. The Civil Rights Movement was dangerous. Just looking at it sometimes in documentaries I become nauseated and afraid for he and his followers.

He was patient because, again, he did not fight and he waited believing that the day would come for overcoming. He didn't worry about making it to the Promised Land with the people although he had worked hard. Usually, when we work hard for something we want to see it now. He, on the other hand did not worry if he never saw it. King knew that it would come to pass in God's timing and not his even though he felt that he would not see it.

How do you know if your the true follower of Jesus christ?

you will do anything He asks, and a major one is to Seek His Truths & Promises for one's self so that you will NOT be decieved, for He desires not "1" should perish but have everlasting life:-) and you will take heed to His Loving Warnings:-) you will Seek Him earnestly and share with others:-) you will grow and persevere unto the end...

Where can we find courageous pastors who fear not to call sin by its right name Paul urged the shepherds of his day to "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine." Then, he made this astounding prediction: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2 Timothy 4:2-4.

These words are being fulfilled before our very eyes. Fables are being taught, doctrinal messages are drying up, and millions are turning from truth to pleasing platitudes. Any sermon that demands obedience or self-denial is rejected out of hand as legalistic and judgmental. The voice of rebuke is seldom heard, and pointed preaching which identifies the biblical antichrist is looked upon as harsh

Have I overdrawn the picture I don't believe any careful observer of the religious scene would contend that we have. Surely Satan is working harder inside the church than he is on the outside, and his plan is to produce the most clever counterfeit of truth that has ever existed. By creating a diabolical parallel system of doctrinal error within the church itself, he has already led millions into a false worship. The nefarious plot was recognized and exposed by the Holy Spirit shortly before the great deceiver began to implement the major elements of his plan in the post-apostolic church.
