Cooking is always fun. Keep it simple like make smoothies or bake cut and bake cookies. Simple science experiments are fun too. Take an empty wine bottle and fill it with vinegar. Wrap baking soda in a kleenex and ball it up. Shove it into the bottle and cork it quickly. Stand back while the cork shoots out. Try mixing liquid laundry starch with white glue to make a goopy substance like silly putty. Or just cornstarch and water--a different goopy substance. Homemade play dough is fun too. Water balloons are quick and easy. So is the sprinkler if it is a hot day. Search the yard for 4 leaf clovers. Sidewalk chalk. Wash the kitchen counter with shaving cream. It's like finger painting. For your niece while the baby naps: Friendship bracelets are fun to make and simple to teach. Have her paint your toenails and then you can do hers. Go to Family Fun's website. They have a gazillion ideas. Hope some of this is helpful.
