Mother Ocean Day

Mother Sea Day is really a new celebration introduced the very first time in 2013. It's a concept considered through the Florida Kayak Fishing Club plus they searched for the approval from the Town of Miami to declare mtss is a day's celebration. The concept would be to celebrate the wonder and question from the sea.You will find a lot of things people can perform on Mother Ocean Day. Taking towards the waves, whether this perform a ship or perhaps a surfboard, is an excellent method to savor your day. If you like to remain on dry land, the other suggestion would be to cast flowers and rose flower petals in to the ocean.in the beach. For individuals who would like to celebrate your day straight from their very own home, eating meals produced from meals from the sea, for example seafood and seafood, is yet another option.

Mother day question HELP?

That was nice of your sister, but don't swim in the ocean at night. Swim in a lit pool instead.

Nope, I'm not a mother yet, so I haven't gotten any mother's day presents.

what did you buy your mum this mothers day?

what did you buy your mum this mothers day?

Mother's Day is my mom's birthday! So this is what I have planned:

First, breakfast in bed. I'm making her favorite; blueberry pancakes! I'm sneaking in her while she's asleep and then I'm going to wake her up by singing Christina Aguilera's song "Oh Mother" I know she's gonna cry her eyes out (I probably will too). After that I'm just going to tell her how much she means me, how much I love her and how she inspires me to stay strong and never give up. When I am done with that I'm taking her to a spa; she needs some major pampering, I know I stress her out like crazy but I only do it because I love her (at least that's my excuse) and it's part of the big surprise I have planned (but I'll get to that in a minute :).

After the spa treatment is over I'm taking her shopping for a cute dinner dress (I bought her tons of outfits 2 weeks ago.) Get her make up down and her hair done and then I'm taking her out dinner and after dinner we're going to this place called Monarch Beach and there will be a gazebo with a man standing in there with rose petals and candles everywhere, this man would be, David, her boyfriend! He's going to ask her to marry him! Hopefully, she says "yes." She better say yes or I'll push her into the ocean somewhere, haha. If she does say yes, there will be fireworks and then we'll eat dessert and then those two are staying at the hotel for the night and can have more dessert or whatever they plan on doing for the rest of the night (Yuck!) I really hope she says yes, after my dad died she went into a deep depression but now she's really happy and I like him; A LOT! He's a real father and funny too but more importantly he makes my mommy happy(: He told that there's a surprise for me too; from the both of them. I swear, if the words "I'm pregnant" come from out of her mouth, I'm moving out A.S.A.P! I love my mom and David too but another kid?! And what if it's a boy?! Noooooooooooooooooooooooo way! I like being an only child and that's just disgusting! She shouldn't be having sex anyways, not at her age. She's a real sex kitten; she has body of a supermodel, a flawless face (no wrinkles; rarely has acne), beautiful bright green eyes, now that I think about it my mom is hot! She's about to be 39 so you can just imagine how she feels but still there should be no sex allowed after 30, lol. At least while I'm still alive(:

Anyways, sorry for the rambling, I'm excited, nervous and a little bit disgusted at the same time, haha. Wish us luck!

where did mothers day come from?

where did mothers day come from?

Origin of Mother's Day, in the times of the ancient Greeks, Rhea, the Mother of the Gods, was honored with a special festival. In seventeenth century England, "Mothering Sunday," celebrated on the fourth Sunday in Lent, honored England's mothers.

Jumping across the ocean, the first observation of a Mother's Day in the United States took place in 1872 when Julia Ward Howe, social reformer and poet who penned the words to the "Battle Hymn of the Republic," suggested a day to honor mothers. This day, which she felt should be dedicated to peace, was celebrated by gatherings that she organized and held in Boston. This tradition spread, and was later organized in other areas of the country as well.

In 1907, Anna Jarvis took Howe's idea a step further and began to campaign for a nationally recognized Mother's Day. In the late nineteenth century, Jarvis's own mother had tried to establish "Mother's Friendship Days" as a way to heal the scars of the Civil War. Persuading her mother's church in Grafton, to celebrate Mother's Day on the anniversary of Jarvis's mother's death - the second Sunday in May - our Mother's Day holiday as it is now celebrated was born. Jarvis also began the tradition of wearing a carnation in honor or memory of our mothers - a colored carnation if your mother is still living, a white one if she is deceased.
