I've been tap dancing for over ten years and I love it! You are going to start with the basics. Shuffle steps are when who you kick your leg out in front of you, and then bring it back in, and then step. Both kicks should scrape against the ground a bit. If you do it correctly your feet will actually "say" shuf-fle step. That is probably the most basic step and you will defenitely learn it your first day. Hope this helps!
