What do you understand the interaction between Animals & Humans to be?

Greetings Blessed Bee,

It is my understanding that humans and animals are the same essence operating through different forms. In a similar manner as electricity runs appliances designed for specific purposes, essence enables various forms to function in a specific manner. Therefore the one essence is the base which enables various forms to function and is the foundation of consciousness. Thus, underlying the function of each form is this essence, awareness, the source, light, The Absolute, The Supreme, God, love or other verbal labels for That which really has no name. A human form is wired to function as a human does, a cat a cat, a dog a dog, a cow a cow etc.., but it must be remembered there can be no appearance of form without the one Absolute, which is one not two. It is my opinion that a human being who feels superior to any life form is suffering in ignorance and needs to reflect deeply on the Absolute, the very heart of existence prior to the sense of separation.

I share my life with three cats and a dog who are loved and cherished as part of a family. We give them the utmost in love, comfort, care and dignity in sickness and health. Animals are sentient beings with feelings, and each has a distinct personality and character traits. Throughout life I have honestly loved and cared for many animals and have truly grieved when some were lost. Unfortunately, here in North America we live in a heavy meat eating culture and there are times when meat eating cannot be avoided. I admit there are times when I partake in the flesh of dead animals, usually so for social reasons and sometimes when I instinctively feel the body needs some. When doing so, gratitude and awareness is placed for the sacrifice. It is from a set of strict principles that I refuse to consume factory raised mass produced animals. These are ethical and moral reasons due to a belief that these institutions raise animals in inhospitable, inhumane, crowded, uncomfortable conditions, placing undue tension and fear into the animals psyche/cellular structure. Underlying the prevalent mental illness common in our modern society lies the improper use of meat which is raised in deplorable conditions. Essentially the suffering of the animals is transfered to the consumer in a more subtle manner creating roots for anger and other negative mental issues.

Also, the feed and drugs supplied for these mass produced animals is suspect not only for the health of the animals, but the mental/physical health of humans who mindlessly consume the meat from these animals. If I consume meat it is done so with mindfulness from wild sources or animals raised with humane care on small organic farms. It is my opinion that for a healthy rational human being interaction between themselves and animals is from the heart with love and respect. Therefore, love is the connection, and is the only acceptable interaction between humans and animals is love and respect. At least it is so in the spark of consciousness I experience a world. Love is our nature and animals are a spark of divinity and therefore love!

question on animals this is for everyone?

question on animals this is for everyone?

animals do have souls. anyone who has ever owned a dog will tell you this, they DO have souls. you can see the same thing in the eyes of an animal as you do in a person. its a sense of intelligence that doesn't come from the body, almost like a kind of focus, animals most definitely have souls and any moron telling you they don't needs to actually READ the bible they so desperately cling to. I imagine most of the people saying no were never allowed to keep pets as children. i pity these poor people so blinded by their "faith" that they are ignorant to everything around them.

"NO INTELLIGENCE FOR JOBS THAT MAKE MONEY...."

oh you mean like the intelligence of the people working as janitors who sweep up other peoples garbage for a living?

have you ever had the oppurtunity to witness a pack of wolves organize and take down prey? it is truly inspiring. people do not possess pack intelligence such as this. you are simply a product of those who sit at their computer all day and never get outside. get outside in to nature and tell me animals do not possess intelligence. thats just absolute ignorance right there. you're one to talk about "lack of intelligence"

"God may have created animals before man but God did not create them in his own image. also, Animals make choices based on instinct not based on consciousness. we as humans do. look at a dog, when two male dogs get together they fight why? because they fight over territory. Now how many times have you seen a dog sit there and say should I fight or shouldnt I?"

are you under the impression that God has a human body and looks like a white caucasian male? grow up. seriously. human beings are just another species of animal. if we are made in gods image so are they. animals don't make choices based on consciousness...and you're an expert on this how? have you ever been inside the mind of another creature but a human? no i didn't think so. are you seriously using a fight over territory as evidence of lack of a soul? so you're telling me no human being has ever started a WAR based on territory? would you like to know how World War 2 Started? it was because germany invaded poland...they annexed TERRITORY. idiot.

"Everything which God created will exist always. Now it does not say that animals who died here will be carried to eternal life. I know that we are not animals. we are humans and humans are not animals. Only those who have the mind of a beast see themselves as beasts, Ecl."

no i think you'll find that humans are quite "animal" based solely on the fact that we share 97% of our Genome with chimpanzees, take that into consideration.....we are 3% of our genetic makeup away from being chimpanzees.

did you know every single creature on planet earth including singled celled organisms all the way up to humans share the exact same genes just in different combinations, o we and animals are very much one and the same my dear.

"This difference probably means that pet / animal “souls” do not carry on after death."

the very DEFINITION of soul, is the part that carries on after death. anything that has a soul will continue on after death. all souls will be reborn and reincarnated as the soul can never be destroyed.

"aye:can animals hear, understand, beleve in the bible=no all they live on is instinct,we r diff. from animals, they hav no soul

we r not animals we r humans"

thats pathetic. how do you know animals do not have belief systems. muslims do not believe in the christian bible, are you going to tell me they are soulless? animals do not live merely on instinct, to think this shows you really have never spent any time around animals.

and humans ARE animals. we are Homo Sapiens, a descendant of Simians. we are VERY MUCH animal, and to think otherwise is appalingly arrogant and ignorant.

*can someone help me find 2 aspects of satire in Animal Farm?

*can someone help me find 2 aspects of satire in Animal Farm?

The book "Animal Farm" by George Orwell, is the most famous satirical allegory of Soviet totalitarianism by itself. Published in 1945, the book reflects events leading up to and during the Stalin era.

Mr. Jones represents Nicholas II of Russia, the deposed Czar, who had been facing severe financial difficulties in the days leading up to the 1917 Revolution. The character is also a nod toward Louis XVI. There are also several implications that he represents an autocratic but ineffective capitalist, incapable of running the farm and looking after the animals properly. Jones is a very heavy drinker and the animals revolt against him after he drinks so much that he does not feed or take care of them. Ironically, Napoleon himself becomes almost obsessed with drinking and eventually changes the commandments to suit his needs. Toward the end of the book, the pigs become the mirror image of Jones, though they thirst for more power than ever before.

Mollie, the horse, is a self-centred and vain white mare who likes wearing ribbons in her mane, eating sugar cubes (which represent luxury) and being pampered and groomed by humans. She represents upper-class people, the bourgeoisie and nobility who fled to the West after the Russian Revolution and effectively dominated the Russian diaspora. Accordingly, she quickly leaves for another farm and is only once mentioned again.

Benjamin is a wise, old donkey that shows slight emotion. The animals often query him about his lack of expression but always answers with: 'Donkeys live a long life. None of you have ever seen a dead donkey.' He is dedicated to Boxer and is sorely upset when Boxer is taken away. Benjamin has known about the pigs' wrongdoing the entire time, though he says nothing to the other animals. He represents the cynics in society. It has also been speculated that Benjamin could also represent the role of Jews in society, although this is unlikely since so many of the early supporters of the Russian Revolution were Jews. Another possibility is that Benjamin is an allegory for intellectuals who have the wisdom to stay clear of the purges.

Old Major is the inspiration which fuels the Revolution and the book. According to one interpretation, he could be based upon both Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. As a socialist, George Orwell may have agreed with much of Marx, and even respected aspects of Lenin. According to this interpretation, the satire in Animal Farm is not of Marxism, or of Lenin's revolution, but of the corruption that occurred later although very similar to it. However, according to Christopher Hitchens: in the book, "the aims and principles of the Russian Revolution are given face-value credit throughout; this is a revolution betrayed, not a revolution that is monstrous from its inception." Though Old Major is presented positively, Orwell does slip in some flaws, such as his admission that he has largely been free of the abuse the rest of the animals have had to suffer. Old Major introduces the animals to the song Beasts of England.
