With regard to the drawings (blueprints) visit the web site of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, UK. Here is an abstract from the site:-

With regard to practical sailing information, read the 'Post 1850 Admiralty Manual of Seamanship'.

For sailing instructions for ocean passages, read 'Sailing Directions and Physical Geography of the Seas and Its Meteorology' by Lieut. Matthew Fontaine Maury U.S. Navy.
