Should I power walk every day?

Power walking 5 or 6 days a week would be enough. The same exercise every day is OK. Athletes do the same exercise every day.

Most athletes only train 5 or 6 days a week.

You need one or two rest days every week to recharge the batteries.

i walk my dog four times a day ... usually when we get up for about half an hour walk, early afternoon is his "fun" walk where we go to the park or beach for off leash play or fetch and we are usually out for about an hour, then another walk after supper for about half an hour, and a before bed walk around the block, about fifteen minutes ... if the weather is harsh, his "fun" walk becomes much shorter, more twenty minutes to half an hour ... so at least two hours a day of walking in total ... he is a five pound chihuahua cross ...

Walking can do wonders! If you walk a fast-paced two mile route, two times day, five days a week, & eat a healthy, balanced diet as well, then you can expect to shed some pounds. You might lose 5-10 pounds in the three months that you continually do this (while also eating healthy). However, you can get even better results by partaking in other activities. Some fun, but fat-burning aerobic-activties include swim aerobics, zumba, bicycling, & yoga. If you add one or two of these activities in along with your walking & healthy eating then you'll not only lose weight and become more fit, but you'll find that you have a lot more energy too!
