I am going to Bangor, Maine for 5 days, what can I do?

Bangor International Airport is small and not at all busy. The terminal is full-service, though.

You don't say when you'll be here, so I can't suggest specific events you might be interested in.

Aside from shopping at the Bangor Mall (and nearby L.L. Bean outlet store), you might be interested in jumping down the road to Rolland F. Perry City Forest. The 686-acre park features nine miles of hiking and biking trails and four miles of logging roads. The highlight of the park is the Orono Bog boardwalk, a 1-mile round-trip excursion into an 11,000-year-old bog.

Some of the wildlife you may see in the park are black bears, white-tailed deer, snowshoe hares, porcupines, moose, great horned owls, beavers, muskrats, pileated woodpeckers -- just about anything you can find in the Maine woods.

You will need bug spray, though. Otherwise, you won't enjoy it.

If you have more time, you might want to go to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, which are 50 miles southeast of Bangor.

The first thing i would do is pay the deposit for both schools so i don't end up making a rushed and poorly-made decision. It is not that much money to sacrifice if you compare it to the tens of thousands of dollars you will spend going to school. State college is really just penn state surrounded by a somewhat rural town. it has a wal-mart and a mall that you can get to by taking a bus. downtown has a couple of shops and a whole lot of bars. It is mostly just two main streets, beaver and college avenues. people mostly party there for fun. I think it has more fraternities than any other college and it also has a lot of sororities. If that is not your thing there are still many clubs and organizations that you can join. During spring semester it is basically winter the whole time and if enough snow has accumulated you can go to the ski resort that is just a short drive away. there is also an ice rink on campus. you should probably see which college is better for international students and base your decision on that. If you choose penn state i would definitely recommend getting student football tickets so you can go to the games with your friends.
