How much should a 6 month bearded dragon eat?

as many as she can in 15-20 minutes. mine eats about 20-40 a day, but she is about 5 months old. it should also start eating veggies.here is some tips.

Bugs -

The size of the food items you feed your Dragon is extremely important. All food that is offered should be smaller in width than the Dragons mouth. Use caution in choosing the insect size, as too large of a cricket can cause health problems (i.e. - blockage) while digesting. The same applies with mealworms, use small mealworms for small dragons, and increase the mealworm size as the dragon’s size increases. A hatchling, up to 2 months will eat mostly insects, picking at finely chopped greens here and there.

2-week-old crickets (3/8 inch in size) should be offered 2 - 3 feedings a day, only in the amount that the dragon will eat at one feeding… A juvenile Dragon (2 - 4 months) will eat approximately 20% greens to 80% insects... 3 week old crickets should be given 2 times daily and small (1/2 inch) mealworms can be added to their diet. 4 months to maturity should be fed approximately 4-week-old crickets once or twice daily. The small mealies may be replaced by larger ones and king mealworms may also be added. Pinky mice can also be added to their diet once a week, depending on the size of the dragon. Adult dragons need to be fed adult crickets, king mealworms... once a day or every other day. Pinky mice, if used, should be fed sparingly - unless feeding a gravid adult.

Bearded dragons are voracious eaters, especially when they are young. If you are not feeding the hatchlings enough, and if they have cage-mates, they will nibble toes and tail-tips - if it moves its food. If your dragons are not eating well, something is possibly wrong. The most likely problem is that the cage temperature is incorrect: their bodies must reach high temperatures in order to digest their food. If they are digesting slowly, they will not eat well. First step - Check Temp.

Veggies -

At a young age, Bearded Dragons will not to eat as much vegetation as their adult counterparts. As a Bearded Dragon ages it will eat less animal matter and more plants, leveling off at around an 80% plant and 20% animal diet. There is a huge selection of 'leafy' greens which are high in calcium to feed your Dragon, some of which are... kale, argula, collard & mustard greens, parsley, dandelion greens and flowers, endives, radish, carrot and turnip tops, escarole and chicory endive. For more of a variety, mixed into the greens may be many other veggies such as squash, corn, peas, carrots (shredded), sweet potato, cucumber, zucchini, green peppers, chard... also chopped fruit such as cantaloupe, apple, blueberries, peaches, pears, grapes, plums, raspberries... all chopped finely to avoid choking. The main idea in their diet is variety.**Do not feed your dragons iceberg lettuce as is has very little nutritional value and may give the dragon the 'runs' - prompting dehydration.

Dragons will also munch on other greens. If you take your dragon outside or allow it to roam about the house - please be sure to check that the possible munchies are not poisonous

12 Month old wants to exclusively self-feed. Help!?

12 Month old wants to exclusively self-feed. Help!?

at 12 months she is probably just expressing her independence. my son did the same thing. i know people on here don't agree with spoon feeding pureed food, but that's what we did until 11 months. then my son wanted to only feed himself. we of course had to change his diet because he wasn't ready to use a spoon and a jar! we started giving him just whatever we ate for dinner. he had chicken, veggies, fruit, etc. but in very small pieces. some kid size foods for them to eat might be...

garbanzo beans

any beans

ground beef (already small pieces)

cooked carrots (until mushy)

corn kernels

bananas

cucumber bits

just make whatever you make for yourself into small servings. have fun with it...she will enjoy the independence and you can enjoy not having to eat with only one hand while you feed her with the other!

ps about the milk...keep trying the whole milk in a cup without the chocolate. i know it's tempting to use chocolate to entice her, but that's a bad habit to start. maybe even try other liquids like water or watered down juice in her cup to see if she will take to it. i'm sure it's a phase and she will eventually drink the milk. good luck

How can i reduce 10 kg weight in a month or fast ?

How can i reduce 10 kg weight in a month or fast ?

I lost 30lbs, my diet plan was like this

breakfast: 30g oats with skimmed milk microwaved for 2-3 mins, add a small bit chocolate syrup or strawberry syrup to give it some taste. Or weigh 30g of cheerios and have it with skimmed milk

lunch: fruit salad which consisted of half a small banana, 1 kiwi, pineapple (3 slices), orange, strawberries, grape, apples (all chopped up in proportion)

dinner: 1 TIN OF TUNA WITH 1 SMALL SPOON OF LOW FAT MAYONNAISE, CORN, LETTUCE, TOMATOES, CUCUMBER, SPRING ONION, LEMON, 1 BOILED EGG, 1 SLICE OF HAM, 1 SMALL BEETROOT or STEAMED VEG (BROCCOLI, CARROTS, BRUSSEL SPROUTS ECT) WITH SWEET POTATOES (MASHED) AND A SKINLESS WHITE CHICKEN BREAST COVERED IN GARLIC POWDER, LEMON JUICE, PARSLEY, PEPPER AND SEA SALT.

snack: I blend 1 cartoon of vita coco coconut water with blueberries, blackberries, orange apple juice and orange juice - its so tasty! or have some light cream cheese (I love philadelphia with chives) on two crackers. Also chewing sugar free gum is good to my favorite is wrigleys.

I ran for half an hour 4 days a week on my cross trainer and my treadmill

Tips that help me:

I advise you to drink green tea 1-3 glasses per day is enough for you're age.. green tea speeds up your metabolism

drink lots and lots of water 8 glasses each day.

do not snack

do not eat 6 meals a day, try to only eat 3

if you are really hungry and you've had all your daily meals snack on fruits ( oranges, apples, bananas )

exercise more try and run for at least 30 minutes a day

get more active eg: instead of asking your mom to pass you the remote control get it your self it does count as extra exercise

get more sleep it prepares your body

stretch, yes it works and it doesn't just help you lose weight it helps with your posture

count your calories try to stay under the amount of 1000 calories per day

change you're lifestyle it makes a difference

do not eat candy or chips eat more greens or protein bars

avoid fast food and cut out fried food tell you're mom when she cooks you're meal to oven cook you're food do not fry it

chew gum because when you chew gum you do not pick at food for example if theres some chips in you're cupboard you go to them a think good damn they look good then you would say no i cant pick at them because i dont wanna throw my gum away

do not eat after 6pm because before 6pm you can burn all you're food off and if you eat after six it will lay on you're stomach as you eat.

do not eat before you go to sleep

drink a glass of water before you go to sleep

drink plain hot kettle water because it speeds up you're metabolism

do not weigh you're self everyday because it torments you, weight you're self once a week ( every Monday )
