Sunday, October 6, 2024 is Techie's Day 2024. October 3rd is Techies Day October 3rd is Techies Day

Techie’s Day

Nerds rejoice! Mess up the shackles, and embrace your hardware-obsessed, system board-craving, graphics card improving, wire-soldering, phone fixing, laptop repairing, router restarting inner self for Techie’s Day!

In the future could we communicating with the dead using I Pad?

You already are. Notice the addiction to such things as I Pads and all the techie 'toys' people just have to have. Most of their lives are lived through such devices. Seems strange to me people will stand in line for hours (if not days) to get the next upgrade in such devices. That is pretty close to dead to me.

How can I add another 1GB of RAM to my PC...?

How can I add another 1GB of RAM to my PC...?

RAM is extremely cheap these days, £70 pounds i assume is a majority for the installation. 2GB DDR2 of Cheap but well-worth it RAM on Ebuyer is only £17.99

It would be a very good idea to just ask a friend who knows how to install or ask around for a favour from a 'techie' nearby to install it for you it only takes 30 seconds. then your overall cost will only be about £19 (inc. Postage).

Job Done!

Hope this helps.

P.S. Find out what type of RAM you need first of all though e.g. DDR2, DDR, DDR3 . . . There all pretty cheap, DDR2 is mostly used these days.

why does my e-mail disconnect me and say sorry your session has exspired?

why does my e-mail disconnect me and say sorry your session has exspired?

About the most that can be said it that it is a Yahoo problem that affects most or all users, and the 'tech people' have been looking at it for several days. If you can get to the Help/Contact page and start up a chat session they will blow smoke up your arse and tell you about the same thing while the 'techies' continue to search for a solution 'as soon as possible'. Yahoo should be embarrased/ashamed. For an email provider to be down for 3+ days without a back-up plan is astounding. They should also provide more information when painting the error message page, including a status on the problem, and potential work-arounds like mail-forwarding to an email provider who is actually capable of providing email. Yahoo: Fire the incompetent chimps responsible for this, and bring in techs who have some respect for the end users and system consequences. Communitate status much better and more freely as well. This is rediculous.

Holidays also on this date Sunday, October 6, 2024...
